“Nice Family Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

Myself and my husband and two children stayed at this hotel in July. The receptionists were very friendly on arrival and advised of all the amenities. Our room was small but clean and the bathroom was very clean and well stocked with towels. The swimming pool is lovely but in need of a facelift but the changing facilities were excellent. We ate from the bar and restaurant menu and the food from both was gorgeous. Breakfast was buffet style for juice, cereal, cheese and breads. Cooked breakfasts were made to order and were truly delicious especiall the eggs benedict! The Kids enjoyed the pet farm and crazy golf but we really enjoyed having a drink outside in the garden while the kids expanded loads of energy playing hide and seek and football. Overall a really nice relaxing hotel that I would highly recommend.

We stayed two nights, the hotel is absolutely delightful and we will definitely return again.

The main reason for adding a review is that we had a fairly unique difficulty while we were there, not the fault of the hotel, but the lengths the staff and senior management went to in order to rectify this for us, have truly gone down in history. I genuinely cannot think of any other organisation that would pull out the stops to achieve such customer service well and truly beyond expectations. It is a measure of the quality of the hotel and the intention of the staff to deliver the very best for customers - a big thank you!

We would thoroughly recommend.

This place was stunning. Perfect venue for weddings. The grounds were beautifully manicured, well-tended and a joy to experience. The one thing that was difficult was the bed - it was hard and lumpy. Everything else was amazing. We would highly recommend it.

We had a great time in the Maryborough Hotel.
We went there for 2 mini breaks as my husband had some business in Cork.
The bedroom ,the restaurant, the leisure centre and the staff were top standard.
On our second visit we got complimentary wine in our room as we were repeat customers.
I cannot speak highly enough about it.....we will be back.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have a patio. We liked this.

Just back from a 4 day stay in the maryborough hotel with my husband and five year old daughter, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were so well looked after by all the staff, the girls at reception couldn't have been any more helpful, our little girl made great friends with them. The added touch of cookies and milk for our little girl at bed time was what made her trip, the food was always very fresh and the homemade brown bread is out of this world, I would highly recommend this hotel, we will be returning very soon

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Second visit and will be happy to return again. Availed of the spa facilities which were just what i needed after a days work. Had a steak in the bar that evening which was worth every cent. Look forward to returning.

Just back from a family break here. Couldn't use the spa due to personal reasons but I was told it was very good. Staff are great. Rooms lovely. We were upgraded to a suite and it was beautiful. I would have to agree with previous reviewers - the hotel could do with some sprucing up in places. Skirtings and paint and plaster could do with a repair in places. This can make some parts look dirty but actually the level of cleanliness and hygiene in the hotel is very good. I will definitely return and would have stayed longer if I had the time.
