I had a lovely time here!! The hotel looks amazing on its own and the restaurant serves some of the best food in the city. Rooms are quite big and very well furbished, the ensuites are extremely clean and come with Aveda products!
I would suggest to anyone looking for a short break in the City and would definitely go back there!!

We stayed here Feb. 5-6 as part of a package deal on our Ireland vacation. This being our first trip abroad, and getting lost so many times trying to find to find this beautiful hotel. It reminded us so much of our lovely hotel (The Davenport in Spokane, WA). Once we found it and checked in the staff made us feel so welcome and helped sooth many frayed nerves. Special thanks to the staff (who were on duty at the time)...Geraldine, Tim, Christie, Linda, Joe and Dan who helped us in every way possible. We do hope to return to Cork again and stay at the Imperial Hotel.

Stayed at the Imperial for 1 night on a business trip. Staff very polite and helpful, room was immaculate, bed very comfortable. Room had everything that you need, wifi, hairdryer, robes etc. This is the second hotel I've stayed in at Cork and will stay here again. Location perfect for everything I needed. Didn't eat at the hotel so unable to comment on that part. All in all a pleasant stay. Had a lovely treatment at the Escape Spa within the hotel, definitely recommend that.

Had a fantastic weekend at the imperial hotel it's location in cork city is perfect
Hotel main restaurant is excellent as are the all the staff of this very we'll run hotel
However I do have one complaint was the upgraded superior room was very disappointing, looking out on a wall that totally blocked the view of even the air conditioning units on the roof, for the extra cost was a total waste
Other than that I would say a very enjoyable experience

Room Tip: Ask what your getting before you upgrade your room

Dear Morgan G,

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Imperial Hotel and for taking the time to write a review on trip advisor.

As we are a city centre hotel it is difficult for our bedrooms to have a view, the front facing bedrooms on the South Mall enjoy a panoramic view of the South Mall - Cork's banking and business district.

I will pass on your favourable comments to the staff.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Kind regards,
Anne

We had a nice couple of nights at the Imperial hotel last week
The breakfast was brilliant apart from the fact that there was no baked beans
But you could go up several times for as much sausage bacon egg and toast as you liked
or cerials , fruit salad , yogurt or anything else as well
plus the ladies came round several times asking if we would like more tea and coffee
As for the room we was at the front overlooking the street ,
the window wasnt very good as it let in all the noise from the traffic
the heating wasnt that good either and one day after we had been out all day we came back to find the cleaners had left the window wide open
The bar called souths bar is very good though and great place to watch football
Best thing about the hotel is the location, the oliver plunkett bar round the corner with live music every night is round the corner
also round the corner is the hotels built in fish and chip shop
I had fish and chips from there one night and asked the man for bread and butter and he put it in the box for me free of charge
anyway all in all i would recomend the imperial as the best hotel to stay in if you are in cork city centre

Room Tip: if you dont like noise dont ask for a room at the front
