We stayed in this hotel for one night recently. Central location, well kept hotel, friendly staff. The only one downside is the car park is a bit of a walk... The inconvenience might be eased if it were free however it was €8.i do realize though that most city center hotels don't have parking. Overall it was a good pick and I would stay again. In addition the Italian round the corner.... Il padrino was fab for dinner even though a little on the pricy side.

Just back from a most enjoyable break at The impressive Imperial Hotel Cork City. This was a family break for 5. Staff were really very friendly & accommodating. The service was excellent, particularly from Mr Gunter, who went above & beyond the call of duty to ensure weal enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful hotel with lots of character, elegance & charm. Every inch of the hotel was as clean as a whistle. The location is fantastic, literally only a stones throw from the main shopping area. We all slept like babies in our comfy beds. We had a gorgeous meal in the hotel restaurant. Service was excellent in lovely surroundings with a great atmosphere. We also availed of the fabulous spa facilities. Absolutely gorgeous & a must if you are staying. Treatments excellent & no product pushing like we have experienced in other spa's. Pure luxury we didn't want to leave. All in all we had a wonderful 2 night break in The Imperial Hotel & couldn't recommend it highly enough. We look forward to our next city break at The Imperial !

Had a group of 20 family members in Cork for weekend and found hotel very central, although parking a good walk away, which was inconvenient. Hotel staff very nice, particularly the Manager Jim in the restaurant. Did B & B 2 nights 1 evening meal, excellent value and our dinner was excellent, they pulled out all the stops for our birthday celebration. Bar was buzzing with great group playing. Only criticism was that the rooms were very warm and with the windows open for air,it was very noisy. Best suited for groups and not for romantic weekend for 2.

Plus's, staff were good. Breakfast fine. Bar is good, lively but not loud or packed, with plenty of quirky nooks and crannies. Good big comfy bed. Central location.
Minus's, dodgy wi-fi. Very loud glass bottles crashing noise from early morning even though the window was closed and curtains pulled. Average dinner, I'd recommend Il Padrino's Italian restaurant just around the corner. It's at least a 10 minute walk back to the hotel from the car park, feels a lot longer when it's raining! Lighting in the rooms is poor (the Missus wasn't impressed when putting on the face!).
Spa is good but you don't get the full time advertised in the brochure. Expensive.
I expected better but will return.

Room Tip: Ask not to be put in a room on the Pembroke Street side of the hotel. Crates and bins of bottles bei...

I stayed in the Imperial Hotel over the Christmas period and attended a family wedding. Everything was perfect, the organisation the vibe the rooms the service. It has a real Christmas feel to the hotel and I thought the staff were amazing. Great location , just a walk away to all the shops and bars and the Christmas Markets. Cant wait to return this Christmas.

This hotel fully met all my expectations.Courteous staff.top class bedroom, with faultless housekeepng standards. Restuarant experience for breakfast and evening meal[good range of choices] was good. Even if not a resident ,I would highly reccomend for an evening meal.Location is good in relation to shoppping.

Room Tip: ON weekend nights there may be a little noise from function room, but it was minimal.
