Showed up on or first night after flying in to Dublin, driving to Cork, sleeping for a few hours and stumbling downtown! Great meal, great price, nice atmosphere. Seems to be a tourist hotspot, there were pleanly of Americans and British eating a late dinner with us. So, if you want to experience something off the beaten path away from fourists, this will not be your place.
We enjoyed our meals. They were priced right for steaks, and the seafood looked fantastic. One thing I really miss since moving to Arizona is the inability to obtain really good quality and fresh seafood. We did start with some fried Brie Cheese, served with a sweet chile compote and chilled veggies. For dinner, both of us had steak. The chips, french fries, were chrisp and not greasy. The side salad was fantastic.
Very good portion size and the quality of the steak was good (for Europe). Don't expect a Ruth's Chris or any other large steak house (or small) size steak or quality; Europeans just don't eat red meat like their U.S. counterparts. Total cost for dinner, wine and beer: 48 Euros.
