“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed December 15, 2013 via mobile

We managed to get a table here at short notice after 15 failed attempts at other Cork restaurants - all were fully booked. I might add it was two Saturdays before Christmas. I was a bit concerned that we got a table so easily at a time of our choice! Why were they not booked out also?

Arrived to a lovely welcome to a fairly empty dining room - more concern. We choose from the menu and choose a very fairly priced wine list.

Any doubt soon disappeared - our starters, mains and desserts were all divine. The wine was sublime and the service was absolutely second to none.

We asked the friendly waiter why they were not busy, but he had no idea.

This eatery deserves to be full to the rafters.

Give it a try - the excellent reviews we read before we booked are all true. Very reasonable prices for mouthwatering food.

Dear Eileen

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your wonderful review. I am glad we had the opportunity to serve you r party and would like to thank you for choosing to dine with us. Yes that Saturday night was a bit quite considering we were booked up the previous Saturday and the Saturdays after, but I’ll take the bad with the good as fellow says.

It was a delight to read through your review and I am thrilled to know that you thoroughly enjoyed your visit. The chefs were also excited to hear such wonderful compliments on their food.

Thank you again for your compliments and i hope we will have the pleasure in welcoming you back to Indigo some time in there near future.

“Great early bird menu.”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Called in a our way back to the River Lee Hotel. Chose from the early bird menu (before 7.30 pm).
Excellent well presented food at a reasonable price. The seafood Chowder starter was lovely and creamy. Good wine list. We visited in November. If you visit in summer you have the opportunity to dine on the outside river deck overlooking the River Lee. Well worth a visit.

Thank You in for taking the time in writing a review. We are glad that you enjoyed our Early Bird Menu, we strive in giving our guests value for their money at the best price.

Also thank you for complementing our wine list. Our suppliers Cape, Richmond and Curious Wines offer us quite a delightful selection and you're quite right, in the summer when the sun is out, our decking overlooking the river has been said to be the most perfect place to dine at.

Thank you again in taking the time in writing a review.

“Excellent!!”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

Went here with my family recently, and it was perfect. From the moment we entered until the time we left every thing was excellent. Friendly and helpful service, they couldn't do enough for us. The food was beautiful and perfectly cooked and their homemade desserts some of the best I've ever tasted, special mention to their mixed berry pudding!
We will definitely be returning next time we're in Cork.

“A place this good needs a special mention.”
Reviewed October 30, 2013 via mobile

This place has a beautifully styled interior and welcoming ambience.

The service was outstanding. The gentleman looking after us was friendly and attentive. The small touches made a big difference.

The food was delicious. The chicken, beetroot and pecan salad was a little piece of heaven on a plate.

Indigo has given us a lovely memory of our time in Cork. Thank-you.

Hi AUSalex,
Thank you for such compliments on your review of our restaurant.
It gladdens us all to hear such compliments and reinforces our belief that the most important factor of any restaurant is to take care of the patrons and give them an ‘over-all’ experience.
Plus the fact that when you think of Cork City that you will think of us is the highest compliment that anyone can receive.
We all here look forward to seeing you again if you choose to visit Cork in the future.

“Excellent restaurant on the river”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

This is a good restaurant in Lancaster quay almost in the river! Great view of the weir-pool from the large windows. The menu is well varied and an adequate wine list. The food is very well prepared and while a little pricey is good value. Stands up well to the generally rather high cost of good eating in Cork. Very good service and you are not rushed through courses.

Hi Torland,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our restaurant.
Everyone here is happy to hear that you enjoyed the food and service that we give. It is important to us to give everyone an experience that they can enjoy.
As we consider ourselves a ‘slow-food’ establishment, as opposed to ‘fast-food’, we believe that it is important for our customers to feel relaxed and to enjoy themselves at their own pace. In this day and age where the goal of so many restaurants is to do as many covers as possible, our goal is to give our patrons as great an experience that we can.
