“Very, very - did I say very - good lunch!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Never eaten here before, but will be going back - great service, comfortable seating, very good value but most importantly, simply excellent food. Had the falafel burger and it was very tasty, with lovely home-made chips and really enjoyed it. Also, good coffee and nice to see personal touches like home-made mayonnaise. Will be going back with children in tow next time. Yummy!

Reviewed January 17, 2013 via mobile

One of our favourite restaurants

Always welcomed as returning customers. So much so that they know our favourite dishes.
Think tried nearly all on menu and each one delicious

“Big shame”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

We visited GBB for a quick bite before leaving Cork for a flight one afternoon. We chose to share a burger and sides and chose from the menu in the window. Needing to be quick we ordered straight away from what we thought was the menu. When the burger came it turned out we had not in fact ordered a burger but a plate of chicken and potatoes, when querying this we were shown a lunch menu different to the menu we thought we were ordering off. We hadn't been told there were different menu's and it was obvious we weren't happy. The waitress had obviously not been very well trained and wasn't capable of dealing with the situation. In the end we had no choice but to eat what we had been given which was nice but overpriced given what it was compared to the rest of the menu. Equally unimpressive was the onion rings which were given in a bowl that was literally swimming with oil. I expected more given the great reviews on Trip Advisor.

“Great food”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

Visited the bistro with my family over the Christmas period as I'd been here three times previously with a group of friends. From the moment you walk in its such a nice and relaxed atmosphere. You're greeted and brought to your table where you're not rushed but given time to decide what you'd like to eat. The waitress was excellent and even remembered that I'd been in previously and had an allergy to nuts & onions. After she took our order she checked with the chef that none of the food was been prepared with anything I was allergic to and came back with a choice of something else and they could prepare a different sauce on the side. The food itself is delicious and I'd recommend you leave room for dessert. Would definitely return again.
