“Fantastic restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

Went for dinner here, last week while on business in Cork. I don't write reviews ever but I am making an exception. Beautiful restaurant & a great warm welcome when we arrived.
Food was really tasty, good portions, great presentation & with a great bottle of red wine. Prices were keen, lovely service. Special mention to the owner who was so charming, she gave us great tips on where to go after dinner! Looking forward to the next trip to Cork already.

“Excellent meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

To start there is reasonable space between the tables.
We had a lovely mixed fish cold starter.
We had Lamb and Fish from the board specials which were excellent and reasonably priced.
Good choice of wine not too expensive.
Quick and friendly service.

“Great View, Average Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant has a great view, being on the river. The food and service was average though. I went with colleagues from work and we were a little disappointed with the menu.

“Outstanding attention to detail!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013 via mobile

After living in cork for many years I had no idea that this Gem of a restaurant existed. I can wholeheartedly say my rare steak was one of the best iv ever had, to say it melt in the mouth wouldn't do it justice. The wine list is extensive and suits all tastes and pockets with a patio out the front to finish the wine off after dinner and watch the world go by. The service was super friendly with out being over bearing. We will and have been back.

“Pub Grub at most”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

I dined here with a group of friends recently and was really underwhelmed by the whole experience. I pass this place regularly but never dined here and decided to give it a go. Firstly we entered and as we were early decided to have drink first. A beer and a house glass of plonk was over 11 euros. The reception area was grubbly and the tioilrts were not dirty. The place looked like it could do with a good clean. I ordered a pear and blue cheese starter. lettuce blue cheese and what tasted like tinned pears with very very salty bacon on top of it. It didnt need bacon! it was very odd. For the main course i had fillet steak a ball of it that was well done rather than medium which i ordered accompanied by some limp leaves and frozen chips and a jar of garlic butter. I think it was 27 euros for the steak. way over pri
