Stayed here for a weekend during the summer. Excellent service friendly staff and nice rooms. Slight confusion on the checking over room rates and we were delayed an hour getting up to our room.

The pool and gym were adequate for the short stay. The location is NOT ideal for cork city expect to pay in the region of €30 on taxi to the city centre which adds a lot to a night out and takes away from the good rates at the hotel.

Just returned from a weekend at the Rasisson Hotel in Cork. I had booked this hotel as I had previously stayed in the Radisson in Cavan which was amazing, I was expecting a similar experience in Cork but was sadly disappointed.

We were checked into room 193, which was at the back of the hotel overlooking a business park. Also it was just above the main conference / ball room so there was loud music to be heard late into the night. In the morning we were woken nice and early by the sound of delivery trucks to the hotel.

The room was also small and not well stocked tea and coffee were not replaced & the air con did not work. But I did have 2 treatments in the spa and these were fab. Breakfast was also very good.

This hotel is also bit out of Cork City, so if you planning to go out and about at night I would not recommend staying here. The cost of a taxi both ways adds up!

nice hotel, all the usual extras and decent food in the bar/restaurant. Would have no hesitation returning. It's about a 10-15 min taxi journey from city centre

I stayed at this hotel recently. I had previously stayed in one of the hotels suite whcih were beautiful however this time i stayed in a standard room, which was not as spacious obviously, but equally as beautiful...The hydrotherapy pool is extremely relaxing and the sauna and steam room also very theraputic. The only complaint that i would have about this hotel is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms and both my boyfriend and i found it extremely difficult to sleep with the heat in the room and the corridors are very stuffy and warm. Other than that this hotel is a great stay and anice treat.

what can i say, this hotel is excellent!!

I stayed there for 2 weeks this year (Aug 2007) on a work trip. The room was great (bus. class) but i had stayed there before in the stnd room, still as good. The rooms / bathroom are really clean (freshened up every day too) and airy with the usuals, tv / coffee facilities, ironing board / trouser press / minibar etc etc. Throughout the hotel it also has wirelss internet which is always great to have in my opinion.

Staff are very attentive, friendly and accomodating. I ate in the bar most of time time as the food there is up to restaurant stnds. There is a restaurant which is in the hotel, didnt get the chance as i was too comfy in the bar with the nice atmosphere, not like other hotels which can be a bit dry / airport like if ya get me. Meals in the bar are from 10 - 18 euro and a little more in the restaurant, about 30 euro.

The hotel also has a spa with massage therapists etc but i just lounged in the pool with its water jets and then a trip to the sauna and steam room. This is all free to use except for the treatments in the spa like massage so i cant really comment on them but they were busy so it must have been good.

Its location is about 20 mins from the airport (appx 23 euro taxi fare) and about 10 from the city & Midleton (about 16 euro fare). The hotel is also situated beside a rail line 95 min walk at most) which is 7 mins to the city centre, just get the hotel to check timetables for u if you dont want to get a taxi.

All in all the Radisson is excellent. I stayed in another 4* hotel in cork beside the river lee last year, this couldnt have even came close to the Radisson. If you are willing to have a little commute to the city centre the Radisson is well worth it! I will be staying there again thats for sure.

We didnt stay in the radisson hotel but we went for a meal with our children in their restaurant. (NOT CHILD FRIENDLY AT ALL)

We went for sunday lunch on the 3rd of July 2007 with our 5 children, ages 13,5,2,2,and a newborn. We wanted to sit in the restaurant but The restaurant manager after looking me up and down told us the table we wished to sit at wasn't set and we would be better off sitting in the bar with our children. WE WERN'T IMPRESSED AT THIS AT ALL. But this was only the start of it. They had a carvery lunch which I must admit was absolutely beautiful but when you have to carve your own meat and the meat of another customer because there is no chef available to carve it for you it kind of turns you off.
We ordered chips and sausages for our children and they took over 20 minutes to be brought out to us. when they were brought to us they were just slapped in front of the children who were waiting patiently for them.
I will never ever eat in this restaurant again.
Just one other thing, if your a dad on his own with your children do not go in to the radisson to change your child as the baby changing facility is in the ladies toilets. So much for making things easy for parents.
This is SUPPOSED to be a 5 star hotel but I got better service in MC DONALDS with my children. At least the staff in MC DONALDS are curtious.

This is such a perfect hotel!
The staff are more than helpful.
The spa is wonderful, large swimming pool, steam room, sauna and loads of jacuzzis...Unlimited access until 10pm.
The breakfast is amazing! Buffet style with everything from your sausages, bacon etc...to doughnuts, cakes, pastries etc.. Unlimited helpings!
Its also within easy reach of Cork's main town and there are plenty of restaurants nearby if you do not want to eat in the hotel.
Blenheim Castle is nearby, and all the main roads out of the town are easily accessible.
The only small issue we had was, we forgot our swimming costumes and were charged £30 each for a costume and trunks!
But it is a classy hotel so I suppose this is to be expected!
Would defo go again, and again, and again!
