Had dinner here last Saturday night. Was keen to go based on previous reviews. Must say I left disappointed! The food was tasty, but certainly didn't live up to the prices charged! Wine was nice, again too expensive, friendly service. Sad to say won't return.

Delicious! Had the pistachio and feta cous cous cake and ate every morsel. Can't wait to go back when I am in Cork.

We ate lunch here on Saturday and had one of the best meals ever. The difficulty was trying to decide what to eat, as the menu was stunning but the dishes we chose did not disappoint. The staff were perfect, really patient and passionate! I cannot reccomend Cafe Paradiso highly enough.

This is an impressive restaurant on all levels. We went here on a last minute recommendation and could not get a table until very late in the evening - 9:30pm. The hostess took our number (a foreign number no less) and promised to call us if something opened up – and sure enough she did! We were able to get a table at 8:15. The service was very friendly and attentive – but casual enough to make the restaurant feel quite comfortable. The energy in the restaurant was really good - great for a fun evening out with friends.

The menu is entirely vegetarian. But, frankly, they do such an amazing job of preparing the food you forget this quickly. We had the three course tasting menu and were completely satiated (actually, stuffed) by the end of dessert. Like dorky tourists and bloggers, we also took photos of everything we ate, which was beautifully presented (we're actually doing ths review is a timely manner and so are cuting and pasting the description of what we ate from their online menu, except for desserts, which had changed): lime-grilled haloumi with spiced carrot puree, braised lentils, walnut crumb and harissa sauce; tartlet of caramelized beetroot & bluebell falls fresh goat’s cheese, salsa verde and olive-crushed potato; leek & roast squash gratin with hazelnut & hegarty’s cheddar crust, citrus rosemary cream and sprouting broccoli; panfried oyster mushrooms in cider butter on a braised cabbage timbale of roast celeriac, fennel & pecans, with parsnip chips; desserts were lemon curd tart with a delicious sauce and an amazing rosemary infused custard with poached rhubarb. (As we write this, one of us sighed and said, "mmmm....just thinking about this makes me happy.")

The prosecco and wine we had to accompany were very good as well. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cork, and wish we had a restaurant like this in Minneapolis.

It's unusual for me to give a restaurant 5 stars, but Cafe Paradiso has clearly thought about its vegetarian food. Where many restaurants' vegetarian dishes have a single note or texture, each dish presented here evolved on the tongue--featuring ingredients with different textures and a full meal, altogether. The wine list is well thought out and quite reasonable: the restaurant has adopted a new, less-expensive pricing scheme.

Desserts were stunning--beautifully presented with a range of tastes.

Dress is not casual, but many patrons were dressed stylishly in dressy jeans and fashionable shirts/blazers, etc.--so it doesn't have to be formal, either.

Although we visited a number of places in and near Cork, we might have come just for a dinner at Cafe Paradiso, located a convenient walk from many city center Cork hotels and from the university.
