My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon in May 2010. The house and grounds were beautiful, we enjoyed walking around outside and sititng in the garden. We stayed in the "Honeymoon" room which along with the other rooms in the house was large with a huge bed and our room also had a nice picture window.
The house is just a 10 minute drive from Blarney making it easy and quick to get to after a days sightseeing and yet felt very quiet and secluded.
Breakfast .was plentiful and served in the light, large decorated breakfast room.
Our hosts Sergio and his wife were really friendly and made us feel very welcomed and at home during our stay there.
Overall this was our favourite B&B in Ireland and we hope to go back one one day

Impressive home, lovely grounds. Terrific owners. B&B's like Maranatha are what made the trip to Ireland so special. Bedroom is large but did not have a television, if that is important to you. Sunroom is beautiful for the breakfast.

Beautifully decorated home, very elegant and full of detail. Each room is special, and really made us feel special too. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Pretty sure we got our best sleep here. Very quiet and relaxing. Many places to enjoy on the grounds as well. Very close to Blarney Castle, and just down the road from a great pub called Blair's Inn. Our hostess was so very sweet, and quite a delight to talk with. She suggested places we might like to dine, as well as where to sight see. The family dogs Samson, and Jenny were also on hand to greet us when we arrived and to see us off as we left. The breakfast room is amazing, and the breakfast itself was grand. I had my first Scone here, and now I want to learn to make them myself! :) Thanks very much Olwen, this was our favorite B&B of our trip. Your hospitality, and personal interest was greatly appreciated. Best wishes for you and your family. :) Sincerely, Kathy & Annie U.P. of Michigan

My husband, 8-month-old baby, and I stayed here for two nights during our stay in Blarney. The house and property are absolutely picturesque. The service is thoughtful and personable without being intrusive. The breakfast was the best we had in our entire trip. I thought some of the grandiose interior decorating seemed a bit tired and dusty, but others might see it as having character. Regardless, it was a wonderful bed and breakfast with great access to Cork and Cobh. The recommendation to eat at Blairs Inn down the road was on par as well.

Olwen was extremely friendly during our stay. The house is beautiful and has some fantastic gardens. The room was one of the largest we had ever stayed in. The bathtub was great for a nice soak after a long day. Aunties Pub nearby was a great place to get some food.

We enjoyed the house and the breakfast. Jenny, the dog, was nice too. She likes to get her belly rubbed.

The Grandparents, Mom and Grandkids all enjoyed the beautiful Maranatha Country House, with charming hosts Doug and Olwen. Olwen grew up in this lovely place, and has decorated it as an elegant vintage country house. We stayed in the "Honeymoon Suite" and the "Rose Room." Our granddaughter was absolutely enchanted with the Princess-like Rose Room, and her little brother enjoyed the expansive "Honeymoon Suite." We grandparents and Mom appreciated the nice bathrooms and breakfast in the pretty conservatory, complete with hot foods and homemade breads. There were also two dogs, including friendly Jennie, and a big lawn for kicking a ball around. I'd recommend this for seniors, honeymooners and families with kids. Only a few minutes from Blarney.

I have just finished spending two days in this fabulous B&B. The location is beautiful, a picturesque Victorian house surrounding by greenery and is very peaceful.

Inside the rooms are great, well decorated, clean and very spacious. The hostess really made me feel welcome and was full of advice for what to see and do in the area.

Highly recommended!
