Description: The Muskerry Arms was established as a small Public House in 1838 and is named after the Muskerry Tram Line, which serviced the village of Blarney up until the 1930's. The premises is owned by the O'Connor Family since 1984 and is personally managed by the O'Connor Family. The Muskerry Arms is a great family run business, offering 11 recently decorated superior bedrooms, live music, coverage of all sporting events on our big screens, great food & drink and always a warm welcome from our friendly staff. The Muskerry offers the ambience of a great Irish Pub with the olde world charme & character in the decor and the friendly reception you will recieve coming through our doors. So if you are just passing through or just back from visiting the Castle, Blarney Woollen Mills, it's all waiting for you here in the Muskerry Arms. After extensive renovations over time we now have an establishment rich in heritage and folklore which continues to be the focal point of Blarney. Every Monday -Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday Night during the Summer we have a Traditional Irish Music & Storytelling Session in our upstairs Tavern Room. Starts at 7pm until 9pm. No Cover Charge. Great traditional bar/restaurant that also has rooms. Located in Blarney I thought the welcome was warm, the atmosphere great, staff very good, Guinness as it should be (if my wife is reading this I mean Diet Coke). Had English football play offs on a couple of TVs and (naturally in this part of the World) horse racing on others. Add to that the local darts team, locals and visitors and it was great.

And to think I only popped in for a bit of food based on TA reviews. So that takes me to the food. Good simple piping hot generous portions of nicely cooked food brought to you (it seemed) by the chef. Choice of 3 roasts on a Monday evening plus at least a couple of dozen other options across starters/mains.

Yes I really liked it!

“Ok for the price”
Reviewed May 9, 2014 via mobile

I had a good curry but my wife's meal of chicken stuffed with prawns & salmon was spoilt by way too much potato - mash & boiled, plus a huge portion of carrot, Swede & brocolli. The chicken itself was probably nice but difficult to find! Puddings were also ok. Service was great.

Thank John H

Had a private room upstairs for our group of 90 people. Food was good but entertainment was great. Wish we could have stayed longer :)
