We spent 2 glorious sunny July days in this Luxury B&B with our friendly hosts Carol Jim Kearney. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and attractively fitted out. Tea & Coffee making facilities and a good range of toiletries were supplied. Our bedroom was a very bright corner room with views of the garden and the sea in the distance. The only slight negative was the stairs are narrow, steep and a bit dark. The breakfast was excellent and included delicious fresh fruit salad, full Irish and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon all served in an attractive breakfast conservatory. There is also an attractive guest lounge. The B&B is located 0.7 km from Union Hall and the magnificent gardens are a real feature of the property. We spent 2 wonderful sunny early evenings drinking and eating on the terrace in front of the Glandore Inn, overlooking the harbour and highly recommend the open half prawn, half smoked salmon sandwich on brown bread. We will certainly return to enjoy carol & Jim's warm hospitality in the not too distant future.

We only spent one night at this wonderful B&B but it was so refreshing and relaxing! After a wonderful dinner in nearby Station Hall, we relaxed on the deck with a cider and enjoyed Carol's beautiful gardens, listened to the birds, and just soaked it all in. This was a wonderful experience with spacious, beautiful rooms and baths. Breakfast was lovely, as well. I would highly recommend this B&B in its beautiful country setting.

The Lis-Ardagh Lodge was a little hard to find (although we were tired from driving and likely misread the map), but the search was well worth it! The lodge is located on a hill surrounded by beautiful gardens. Inside, the home is spacious and thoughtfully appointed, as are the bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. Antique afficionados will love the many antiques with which owner Carole has decorated the home!

The breakfast room overlooking the gardens is a great place to contemplate the day's activities or enjoy tea and a good book! Breakfast options include the standard (and filling) "full Irish" bacon, eggs, and sausage, as well as a table with fresh fruit, yogurt, and juice.

Tips: We regret arriving in the late evening and suggest other travelers arrive early enough in the afternoon to relax in the garden and enjoy West Cork's beautiful landscape. The lodge is located on a rural road but is only an 8 minute walk/5 minute drive from the charming town of Union Hall.

We have just stayed 3 nights in this stunning property. The grounds are like a park and the B+B is beautifully run. Rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean; breakfasts are the best we've had in our 10 days plus in Ireland; Carol and Jim provide such excellent advice to see this corner of Ireland that is quite removed from bus tours! If we return from Western Canada, we shall stay in this beautiful B+B and we shall spend much more than 3 days in this delightful part of Ireland.

We stayed with Carol & Jim for the Bank Holiday weekend, what a lovely warm couple. There's not much more to add to the excellent reviews that this B&B has received. It really is a little piece of Heaven in beautiful West Cork. It is only a short walk into Union Hall where there is no shortage of good food and drink to keep you going! The garden is a haven of peace and tranquility, it's a real credit to Carol & Jim's hard work. The B&B is warm and welcoming, a home from home. We will definitely be back before long.

Stay at the lovely LUXURY B&B back in April. Carol and her husband has taken Bed & Breakfast to the next level in quality.
Great all you can eat breakfast, large bedrooms, comfy beds, stupendously clean and exceptionally quiet.
You can even see the sea from one of the bedrooms.
Hats off. Will stay again without a doubt.

Room Tip: We stayed in the ELM room. You can see the sea in the distance and is very quiet and large.
