This hotel was a recommended by a friend who lived in Clare. It did not disappoint. Very good quality restaurants at reasonable prices and a comfortable room. Breakfast was included and fresh.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
This was a little treasure and I'll definitely return!

We stayed in the hotel on a tour of Ireland Coach Trip, the standard of the room was very poor dating back to 70's lumpy mattress and tatty furniture. Meals were put together for a coach party and food very average had to suggest irish cuisine be provided on one night! Not sure if this hotel has been visited by an Irish Tourist Board lately but suggest they do so. Didn't feel happy to use their hairdryer as very old and poor electrics.

Room Tip: Take a sleeping bag poor mattresses

Their page on booking.com was totally misleading. The location is dreadful, way outside of town. The hotel is old. The rooms haven't been updated since the 70s. The tub has separate spigots for hot and cold water…….and was so dirty-looking I didn't want to get in. The beds were lumpy. The room was hot and it was impossible to turn off the radiator. We were on the first floor in a room overlooking the parking lot where anyone could climb in through the open window. I was literally afraid to leave my wife asleep in the room.

Even worse than the dilapidated condition of the place was their insistence on using a single driver for every single fare. When I asked for a taxi, a big Mercedes pulled up. When I told the front desk clerk that I didn't ask for this service, I was informed that this was the only car they used--a dreadful practice, especially since the Ennis cab drivers are clearly struggling to make a living. When I then asked for a regular cab, the front desk clerk was snippy and told me I would have to wait another 20 minutes. I then called the cab company myself, and got a taxi in 2 minutes. As an Irishman, who was born in Loughrea, I was very disappointed by this behavior, particularly since the taxis are lined 20 in a row. I can't in good conscience stay in a place that mistreats its own countrymen.

Room Tip: I doubt there are any. Don't take a room on the back side of the hotel--it's unsafe.

Spent one night here and I was fairly disappointed! The decor is quite old fashioned and the rooms are quite basic. Our room was very far away from the reception and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night which was a pain. The leisure centre is quite nice and the food was decent but the hotel is adequate rather than good.

The location of this hotel is on the outskirts of town, which was a bit of a letdown, as there were no restaurants or eateries nearby, so you have to eat dinner either in the restaurant or the bar. I chose to eat and enjoy a few Guinness's in Tailor Quigley's bar, but despite the traditional Irish bar atmosphere and décor, and the good range of food available, the size of the portion in relation to the price paid is a bit of a joke. Disappointed.
The rooms are located a bit of a walk away from the reception area, which felt like you were walking in a maze. The rooms themselves are adequate - clean and tidy.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed here over the week end. Staff were all very friendly and helpful....I asked for an iron and it was delivered within minutes as was the fan that I also requested. Room was clean and comfortable although the only gripe I had was the distance from reception, restaurants and bar to the bedroom. it was a long hike! Food in both the bar and restaurant was lovely and was served quickly. I was a little disappointed in the breakfast offered...no fried egg, beans or mushrooms. Entertainment on both nights in bar.

Room Tip: Not sure what to say about rooms....we were in the 400s and it is a long way but would not have like...

Went here a few times. Once in the morning for coffee. No one there had to wait 10 mins for girl to show. Food not great. That day the coffee machine wasn't working properly.the rest of the hotel is nice. Nice foyer area and lovely leisure centre
