From the minute we opened the front door, we fell in love with this traditional Irish cottage. Our hosts welcomed us with scones, homemade jam, and salad greens from their garden, and were very helpful whenever we had questions. The cottage had a wood stove, comfortable beds, a nice hot shower, and was equipped with games and beautiful books on Ireland. Truly a highlight of our trip!

Our visit to An Ti Glas was fabulous. Noel and Jason were great hosts. There was homemade bread, jam and chickens from the hens waiting for us. We arrived a little late and in the dark but the heating was on and the fire was lit. This is a lovely cottage in a very peaceful location - the night sky was amazing. But we were only 25 mins from Shannon and 20 mins to Ennis. Noel and Jason were very helpful with suggestions as to where to go and what to do and while we felt they were nearby they were never intrusive. I would definitely go back. I have already passed the details on to a couple of friends.

We spent a week in this peaceful and well-appointed cottage. Jason and Noelle were on hand to provide a very warm welcome and Noelle had baked some delicious scones and bread. Our hosts were very discrete and we felt very much at home in An Ti Glas. The cottage is located on a country lane outside Ennis so a car is essential. The rental is very well equipped and we found that there was absolutely nothing amiss.
You will find a cosy, warm and modern very well appointed interior to the cottage which is both very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, finally we can only hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

This cottage is a home from home, so warm and cosy, everything you would expect it to be- The hosts left us homemade bread, scones and jam and eggs from their hens. They also left toys for our children to play with which i thought was lovely and made us feel welcome.
Noelle also advised which beaches were the best and the directions on how to get there and other attractions we might have been interested.
I adored this house, my children slept better here than they did at home. I definately would go back. The only flaw is that the property isnt well sign posted, that would be the only downside.
All in all a great stay, i loved it and so did my children, we were all quite sad to be leaving

If you are looking for a place to stay that is off the beaten path, you can step into a different lifestyle here. The owner kindly provided homemade bread and scones and jam but you should stop at the Costcutters grocery store in Ennis to stock up for your stay. You are expected to compost your food scraps and if you choose to wash clothes (a washing machine is in the cottage) you will have to dry them on the clothesline outside in the shed. Because it wasn't the high season the cottage did not have wifi but the owner allowed us to come to their nearby home and log on. Amusing chickens and very friendly dogs are on the property which is a functioning organic vegetable farm. Be aware that the ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms are quite sloped so head room is limited. In addition, there were numerous millipedes in the cottage, which I guess is part of the rural experience. Ennis is an interesting town and the cottage is well situated to visit the Burrens National Park.

My husband and I had a wonderful three-day stay at An Ti Glas Cottage very recently, and it was a complete and utter delight and success. We felt lucky to have found not only the cottage (or, rather, its attached granary, which is a lovely, charming, three-level space), but also its owners, Jason and Nicole Horner. We highly recommend this beautifully, comfortably, conveniently appointed lodging and this semi-rural but perfectly accessible location. It's a bit off the beaten path and we needed a generous and patient escort (Jason) to help us find it one dark evening, but once we saw the roadways by daylight, we saw that we were not far afield at all and in fact were wonderfully placed for daytrips throughout County Clare and elsewhere. We found warm, fresh scones on the table and a glowing fire in the woodstove when we arrived, and all of our needs were met otherwise in the form of a cozy and completely comfortable bed, a light-filled sitting room filled with excellent books, helpful maps, and a small and excellent library of music, plus a great bathroom with a great shower, a roomy kitchen with everything we needed for home-cooking, a plant-edged patio, and more. We would recommend the special granary apartment to any couple looking for a quaint but yet contemporary refuge from the hubbub. A spiral staircase to the sitting room and bedroom was a charming element to us, but I suppose it might be a challenge for some travelers and for small children. But the larger cottage itself (to which the granary apartment is attached but completely separate) seems like a wondrous place for families or friends. We'd love to return to the granary with our kids and our grandkids in the cottage!

We had the pleasure of staying at this cottage last week and loved every minute of it. The cottage is brilliant - very comfortable and very relaxing. The owners are lovely people and we really enjoyed meeting them and their dogs, Angus and Bella.
We travelled with 4 young kids aged 8 and under. The mini-football pitch, trampoline and swing set ensured they didn't miss having a TV. As soon as they got up in the morning and when we returned from a days activities, the kids just rushed outside to play. Angus is a big dog (Scottish Deerhound) and at 2 years old is so calm and great with kids. he just stands there while they pet him even though he towers over them. Even our most dog fearing child quickly came round to his charms!!
I thought I would miss the TV but I didn't with some relaxing music provided and a good book which I was generally too relaxed to even read. I loved this cottage.
Clare is a fantastic county with so much to see and do and while this cottage is slightly out of the way a bit and needs you to drive to the attractions, I would book it again. As a parent with a young family, the outdoor space and facilities makes all the difference in that all important early evening when returning after a long day out and preparing a meal - the kids are entertained.
Finding this cottage for the first time is a bit daunting. My advice - go to www.leenorganics.com and follow the directions provided there rather than Google maps or even satnav. The directions on the owners website are very detailed and you cant go wrong. After the first drive out and you now know your way, you will find the cottage is only 10 mins from Ennis (I timed it). And you get perfect peace and tranquillity.
The website we booked through would only allow us to book for 3 kids but we thought we could squeeze in and make do as we were interested in the Eco-cottage idea, the organics and the outdoor space. When we arrived it wasn't a problem as the owners quickly provided us with an extra z-bed with no hassle. The cottage is small so I wouldn't take 4 older kids or more than 4 young kids to it. As it was, though, with our 4 kids at the age they are, we had an absolute ball and were tempted to stay an extra night but work beckoned unfortunately.
Bottom line, if you are going to Clare give this cottage serious consideration. It is a great spot with great owners and lovely interesting dogs. We book a cottage every year and this is the best one yet.
