Went to this brilliant little farm for my nieces birthday (age 6), and I must say the grown ups enjoyed it just as much as the kids! With the treasure hunt, massive rabbit huts where the rabbits come to you to be picked up, casper the friendly goat, feeding the mini pigs that we're hilarious and so good with the kids, the sheep who fell asleep with cuddles from the kids and the ponies!! So much to do here tea/coffee and animal food was free which is always a bonus but I must say the 2 best things we're the tractor ride and the reptiles which we're all brought out and we we're able to hold. Not many farms will let you get this close to the animals so thank you soooo much Eddie and his team you we're all fantastic and made our day!! We will be back!!!

We visited on the information provided on the website the place is run down and tired. Not good value at all. Was very disappointed and after strolling around for an hour tops we left.

imecofarm is full of natual hedgelands, wetlands, marshlands, woodlands, forests and a variety of farmland. We allow as much of all these areas of biodiversity to grow as natural as possible and have provided over a mile of natural pathways through the farm to see all these areas, and enjoy all the nature, see the hundreds of acres of tidal marshlands, wander in and out of oak and beech forests, and appreciate the natural and extremely important habitats for huge numbers of irish wild mammals and birds.
We have provided fine gravel-finished trails, through some of the forests, to allow wheelchair access for a large section of the farm.
On the farm we have many activities provided to give people excellent value for money. The activities include a treasure hunt on the farm with a small prize after, many friendly animals who love being patted and fed, A pedal kart area, A huge indoor hall with bouncy castle, reptile display, climbing castles, table tennis, table soccer and more. The fun train ride goes through a small forest area, and kids love it. You can simply ask at reception to organise a spin. And to add more value for people we have a membership option for families, to visit as many times as you like.
Along with all the fun for families, we also have education on history, heritage, archeology sites along the estuary, the story of Irelands National Emblem, The Brian Boru Harp, and also renewable energy, and provide short courses for people to study more on renewables, crafts and sustainable living.
We are constantly expanding our ideas, activities and educational displays, and love all the positive feedback from everyone, and always take on board any suggestions given. It is through all this feedback, that helps us organise all new and existing projects in order of priority.
This business is a new amenity for Co Clare and visitors to Co Clare, and we work constantly to improve the facilities and develop new activities for visitors to have an educational, and fun visit on the farm.

“A great afternoon out!”
Reviewed May 29, 2012

Visited IMecofarm recently while on a weekend in Clare. A great afternoon with lots to do for the adults - who can get away from it all here and explore as far as the River Fergus riverbanks but also the kids - who loved all the animals and the treasure hunt along the way. We visited on a reasonably sunny afternoon so it was all outdoors but it looked like there would be plenty to keep the kids occupied indoors too if the weather was not so good. One for the list if you find yourself in Clare this Summer!
