“Awesome, accommodating and very pleasant”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

Drove into Ennis much later than we planned, and arrived about 10:45p.m., and starving. Had eaten at Town Hall several times for lunch, but not only were they the only game in town at that hour of the night (other than then chipper and Chinese), they were incredibly pleasant, accommodating, allowing us to relax and enjoy...and it was fairly packed:) Had a most delicious sea bass and a lovely red wine. All staff were extremely friendly and rather amusing:) Highly recommend this place:)

“Breakfast overflow”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

The breakfast room was full so we were asked if we wanted breakfast in The Town Hall. We were on our own so the ambience was totally different but the food was the same. The experience was very enjoyable and relaxing. My husband fread his newspaper

“Best dinner in Ireland!”
Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

Delightful stay at the Old Ground Hotel next door. They suggested the Town Hall Cafe. The crab starter was really fun and a taste sensation. My Halibut was gorgeous. The au gratin potatoes were light with a healthy dose of garlic. My husband had the monkfish and prawns and proclaimed this was the best meal in all of Ireland. Don't miss it

“Food yes, Service, and Value.... hmmm....”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Visited here for dinner with my mother lately as it is her preferred dining out restaurant of choice, however I have never found it quite to my satisfaction. There is not anything too negative per se, it's just not a place that I have thought, "yep, I would definitely come back here!".

The atmosphere, I just found to be a bit... dead? The waitresses, made little effort with pleasantries, and what they did came across as rehearsed, and very forced.

The food thankfully was a bonus. We didn't order starters, but were brought complimentary little cups of the house soup. This was a very welcome and pleasant treat! Very good soup, and a small enough portion that we weren't too full before our main course.

We both had the steak, and while cooked perfectly, there could have been a bit more veg included as the cuts were quite large, and a bit plain on their own.

The bill also came as a shock- considering all we ate, we were charged what would get two people a three course meal and a few drinks in most establishments. Not great value for money at all.

Overall, I'm in no rush to revisit.
