While staying in Doolin, we visited this part of the Burren. Parking was easy and entry was free. There is a lot of information on signs about the tomb and the area as you walk along the concrete path toward the area. You can walk up and around the tomb (though not through it). We were amazed at how readily we could access it and got some great up-close photographs. To get a really good insight of the Burren and its history, this is a great landmark to visit.

Not everyone is going to be interested in several slabs or rock...unless you are interested in human history and the evolution of society. At the site you will learn about ancient burial practices and the interaction between animal husbandry and the vegetation. This is not a Stone Henge, but a very personal burial site. Be sure and read the numerous informative plaques. Wear solid shoes for the footing can be difficult.

Interesting ancient site. A few interpretive signs, but the site is somewhat easy to miss. Glad we went, but the kids were more interested in hopping around on the rocks than the site itself.

I was somewhat disappointed at the size of the Dolmen. From pictures you expect a massive formation, but it is actually quite small. I was still glad we visited the site but I guess it wasn't everything I expected it to be.

Seeing as the Burren is large and we got lost on the way, I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to find it. But we found it quite quickly. There were a few people there when we got there so was able to take lots of pictures w/o people in the scenery. Very impressive. We walked around and explored for awhile then a tour bus came and it was time to go. This area is a great area to just get lost and go where the wind takes you. We found lots of old buildings and cemetaries where we stopped often.
