You must definitely drive thru Burren part of County Clare if you want to enjoy some vies and scenery. The roads are narrow and tiny and the locals are driving like crazy 80-100 kilometers but other than that the area is very nice.

Being Clare locals we decided to bring our children to the caves as they had never been. They enjoyed the visit and the tour, but it was a bit on the short side - not 35 minutes long as the tourguide had stated, more like 25. Reasonably priced at €29 for 2 adults and 3 children (kids under 5 are free). Coffee Shop was surprisingly reasonable as well. We all enjoyed it but for such a short tour we probably wont return. Its a sense of 'been there, done that'. A negative would be the smell of deep-fried cooking as you walk back through the exit route

You can't really tell from the pictures how beautiful the Burren really is in person. We drove up along the coast from the Cliffs of Moher. It was stunning. It's definitely better to drive yourself than to see it as part of a tour because you can stop whenever you want.

Visited the Burren in November 2012. Spent a day driving this rocky outcropping of countryside. It has a beauty in it's own right. Almost 'out of this world' feeling, like how we would imagine the surface of the moon to appear. Loved our visit to County Clare. Hope to return again some day.

Have a great day venturing out on a drive trip in the Clare county Burren. Visited some place of historical values such as the Allewee Cave. The slates formations and the way the coastal area is protect. Went in some small town and admire the Irish way of living. Worth the day especially in the cave to see remains of bears over 3000 years still intact in the cave.
