I love going here - its so nice to walk around, lovely geese, swans and ducks to look at (although the geese poo etc can be a bit excessive at times). Kids love it, the playground is good and generally just a nice place for families to hang out, especially when hot.

I thought the loch was very picturesque and beautiful, there is also a fascinating history behind it with evidence of Roman or prehistoric settlements and a couple of Crannogs. I loved feeding the friendly swans and if you are a photographer there is lots of material here. My only complaint is that its very windy and cold but no one can control that.

A lovely loch. I didn't manage to spend much time there due to the rainy day. I would have spend more time walking around the loch and enjoy the scenery.

The scenery is magical, the walk is gentle yet invigorating and the people you meet are all welcoming and very friendly. It did help there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Just minutes from the village centre, where you can eat and drink well in the many shops, restaurants and pubs.

You can walk round the Loch every day and each time its different - the way the light falls on the Palace makes it magical. Sometimes its mobbed with kids, fisherman and grannies whereas at other times you never meet anyone other than a hungry swan.
