“Lovely Loch but a bit cold.”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

I thought the loch was very picturesque and beautiful, there is also a fascinating history behind it with evidence of Roman or prehistoric settlements and a couple of Crannogs. I loved feeding the friendly swans and if you are a photographer there is lots of material here. My only complaint is that its very windy and cold but no one can control that.

“Excellent view”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

A lovely loch. I didn't manage to spend much time there due to the rainy day. I would have spend more time walking around the loch and enjoy the scenery.

“Idilic”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

The scenery is magical, the walk is gentle yet invigorating and the people you meet are all welcoming and very friendly. It did help there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Just minutes from the village centre, where you can eat and drink well in the many shops, restaurants and pubs.

“Magical”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

You can walk round the Loch every day and each time its different - the way the light falls on the Palace makes it magical. Sometimes its mobbed with kids, fisherman and grannies whereas at other times you never meet anyone other than a hungry swan.

Beautiful surroundings for a lovely walk around the loch. Be sure to take some bread with you to feed the swans!
