“average food”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

stayed at premier inn for 2 nights & had breakfast & dinner both days as it was handy.friday night we had the 2 for £10 deal which was fab,we cant fault the food we had & was really great value, the next night saturday we all had mains & desserts plus 2 bottles of wine which came to £81.for 4 people we felt it was dear as mains were ok but the desserts were very dissapointing.as for brekkie we have stayed at premier inn / paisley & brekkie there is not buffet but cooked to order worth the wait buffet in lomondgate was warm if not cold & they are slow to replenish.the staff are really nice as is the chef but they need to up their game as we wont be returning for a while as going into paisley instead a shame as the potential is there.premier inn is good though.

“This is okay”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

This was a typical brewers fayre pub. We only ate here for breakfast the day we were booking out of the premier inn next door. The breakfast was a let down as we were expecting a Scottish breakfast seems we were in Scotland. But it was English. Not even black pudding or Lorne sausage. The local Morrisons to the pub had a Scottish breakfast available. It's hot hard even to just put out some black pudding or potato scone. It was a letdown. The staff were very kind and friendly which was one redeeming factor.

“What a let down”
Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

Though the staff were very friendly and welcoming the food was a let down, first visit of my grandson to Scotland and he was looking forward to a Scottish breakfast, what a let down the food was no different from any Brewers Fayre down south, we stayed at the premier inn next door for four days and only had breakfast once, the local morrisons in Dumbarton had a full range of produce in their cafe from flat sausage to haggis slices black pudding and potato scones we all ate their for the remaining stay.

“Good and bad”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

We used this establishment to dine and breakfast in as it's located close to the Premier Inn.

I had chicken liver pate and baguette toast, far too much average pate for the derisory amount of toast, the T-Bone steak, ordered medium, came out as if it'd been cremated. My wife had the battered cod, served in faux-newspaper, and a strawberry sundae type thing...Hell would have to freeze over before I dine there again.

Breakfast, on the other hand, was exactly as I'd have wished.

The staff were friendly, capable and had nothing to do with the food standard at the dinner.

Good + Bad = Average, I reckon.

“Food Was Awful”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Food brought out by chefs was awful - as if they don't care. Don't get me wrong, the service staff were very nice & efficient, and the place itself is very clean & modern. Chefs - PLEASE PLEASE take note.
