“A little bit of paradise”
Reviewed December 17, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Truly lovely place to chill out for a while. .Normally I think to myself 'pro,s and cons, best parts and not so good parts. Bonn na Cnoc ? Really struggled to think of any thing negative at all! The place is perfect! So I need think about what people want...if you want to be close to a shop or pub etc. Uig is the closest stop for you around five miles away. If you want perfect www. and phone connection you will not get it at Bonn na Cnoc. We found that we could not get signal sometimes, but by walking to the community board about 20 yards away it was fine. This was good! When I go on holiday I want to get away from it...but be in touch if there is an emergency! Apart from that my mind is a blank... perfect isle perfect accommodation and the owner John made everything run perfectly smoothly. He didn't help England win the World Cup tho... but at least the cottage included a wide screen TV so we could swear at them! :-)

Thank you very much for your kind words. If you could clarify one thing, though? Did you have an issue with the wifi Internet connection in the cottage?

“Idyllic cottage in Skye”
Reviewed September 27, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

This is our second stay at Bonn Na Cnoc. Yet again, a flawless stay - you simply won't find anywhere else nearly as good as this on the island for self-catering. My first review last year says more about the cottage, so let me use this opportunity to thank the previous guests who left comments in the guest book, as we used their advice on what to do this holiday, and we weren't disappointed. Claigan coral beach is stunning, as are the An Coran and Talisker beaches. The Fairy Pools were lovely set amongst the Cuillin mountains. The drive to Elgol is stunning, and the boat trip on the Bella Jane to Loch Coruisk is well worth doing. The boat trip from Portree around Rassay island on the Brigadoon is fab, too, you can see golden eagles, white tailed eagles and seals here. Cafe Arriba in Portree has some amazing food, so do stop by there for lunch. The Wee Tea Room in Glen Einort was very good, too, you'll find this on the way to Talisker beach. Bonn Na Cnoc once again provided the perfect place to stay and we hope to be back once again soon!

“Fantastic views and sunsets”
Reviewed August 15, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Very comfortable cottage to live in. It is equipped with all the essentials including a slow cooker when you want a meal to come home to.
So much to see and do at the north end of Skye. Best hot chocolate was at the Single Track cafe/gallery

“my best ever holiday cottage rental”
Reviewed July 25, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

brand new cottage, modern kitchen with everything you need, fantastic lounge + terrace with view on the Hebrides, 2 excellent bathrooms... 2 bedrooms with very confortable beds. Plenty, I do mean plenty of room
situation very good, SILENT - fantastic for a rest. Good starting point for great walks ( Quiraing, Old Man of Torr and rest of the Island

on top, nice touch with a welcome basket with wine, beer, bread, something you appreciate arriving on a Saturday evening after a long drive, and the owner letting you use his DVD and CD collection, + large LCD TV - oh, forgot: free Internet working well.

our first reaction stepping in: " waouh". and when leaving " coulda stayed much longer".
our best rental ever ( and we've been holiday renting for 20+ years by quite a distance!

big thanks to John and Marion

(and next time I will read the present instruction instead of calling you on your mobile :(

“Perfect in every way”
Reviewed October 7, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Beautiful cottage, beautifully decorated and furnished with every facility you could possibly wish for.

There really is nothing you could fault here. The views from the lounge in the evening when the sun goes down are incredible.

We found the cottage to have a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere and hope ourselves to return again as well as recommending our friends and families to stay.

A perfect cottage on a truly spectacular island.

“Fantastic property - we will definitely be back!”
Reviewed September 10, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Bonn Na Cnoc is a fantastic property, which was built just a couple of years ago and is presented to a very high standard. The kitchen/diner is extremely spacious and is open plan into the living room. There is also a decking area outside with a BBQ. Both bedrooms are well-sized with good storage and the bathrooms are beautifully done.

The living room has views of the Outer Hebrides and the sunsets here are absolutely spectacular - we spent many an evening on the sofa, feeling very lucky indeed! There are board games, DVDs and a decent TV (although no Sky TV as advertised - only a small handful of channels are available).

This property has almost everything you need for a really comfortable and enjoyable week on Skye. The 'welcome basket' was also very much appreciated! Indeed, the only items that we failed to anticipate needing were bin bags and toilet roll - so make sure you remember to take some!

The property is beautifully located in a remote(ish) part of the Trotternish Peninsula. It takes about 20 mins to get to Uig where there is a local shop and fresh fish once per week. It's about 40 minutes to Staffin and the same to Portree. There is lots to do around the cottage (e.g. Duntulm Castle) and the guest book in the cottage has lots of great ideas.

John and Marion are great hosts, very welcoming and we will most certainly be back!

“Lovely house to stay in”
Reviewed September 1, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

My wife and I had 10 days staying here on Skye. It's spacious, well equipped and like home from home. New and well laid out and great to come home to after a busy day. I would highly recommend this place to stay.
