“Super beach, great sea!”
Review of Calgary Bay

I visited Calgary each in July and I must say that the time there was lovely. The weather was great with plenty of sunshine, I even burnt my nose slightly, and the sea was completely see-through. There is no pollution in the water because the beach is a part of a nature reserve, which is really great. There was also a new sailing club there which offered sailing lessons, as well as renting out lazors, canoes and trips on bigger boats. If you're planning to go swimming in the sea it might be a good idea to think about bringing a wetsuit, just to give yourself some extra warmth. There really isn't anything bad to say about Calgary bay, it's a great place to go with the family on a day out or if you want to see the beautiful countryside. There is also a tea room nearby where you can buy lunch if you are hungry. Great place. Go there!

We spent two days at this beach in sunny weather. The sea is a beautiful blue colour.

Since we were from Calgary we had to make the journey to our city’s names sake. The Bay is located 12 miles from Tobermory but on a single track trail it took us 30 min to get there. Unfortunately it was cloudy and overcast the day we were there but the bay was still beautiful. We were there at low tide so we were about to walk from end to end looking for shells. Opposite the bay is Calgary Castle. Great side trip from Tobermory.

The best bit about Calcary is the view from Caliach point. About 30 min walk to complete solitude. The walking is easy and the view back of the bay is fantastic.
