We had a great day out with David. He picked us up from the ferry and his friendly manner made it seem like we'd known him for ages. He immediately let our two children sit in the front with him - that was the perfect way to keep them engaged with the day. He knows exactly where to spot the wildlife, has very sharp eyes and is hugely knowledgeable. In the six or so hours, we went from place to place, saw all sort of things (golden eagles, sea eagles and lots besides), stopped for lunch and tea and cakes. It was really a great day out and we all enjoyed it immensely. Aside for the big stuff, he indulged our 10 yr old twitcher, by spotting and identifying loads of small birds that aren't common round our way. We thoroughly recommend it!

We had a super day out with David, his knowledge of Mull is second to none - he can spot the wildlife long before anyone else, Golden Eagle, Sea Eagle, otters and much much more.
Excellent lunch including home bake scones and cake. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough, we were out for 7 hours...excellent value for money!

This was our second trip with David Woodhouse, and every bit as good as our first one three years ago. David's fieldcraft, and knowledge and love of Mull's wildlife, are second to none. His ability to spot an eagle or otter that would escape most people's notice, within seconds of arriving somewhere, is astonishing. He is always a pleasure to listen to, too, and the day out is excellent value, including lunch, drinks and delicious cake. For me, the highlight of the trip was finally seeing a male hen harrier after years of searching - a lifetime ambiton satisfied at last. And what a bird, worth the hunt! Thank you, David, hope to come out with you again on our next visit to Mull...

Great day out. You will not always see everything but you will see most of what you want. David knows the island and the wildlife so well, he knows where to look. We have been on his trip for a number of years and never been disappointed. Informative and knowledgeable and great banter - he being a Yorkshireman and I a Lancastrian.

With it being our first visit to Mull we decided to seek some help with wildlife spotting rather than batting around aimlessly for the week!
David picked us up from Salen at 10 am and we commenced a day that will remain in our memories for a long time.
There were 8 of us in David's group that day and we all got along instantly which was more luck than judgement, however, it made the day even more pleasurable.
We were out for 6-7 hours taking in the island and David didn't stop telling us interesting facts and giving us helpful pointers all day.
We saw white tailed eagles, golden eagles, seals but no otters. Numerous birds including great northern diver, curlew, stonechat, wheatear to name a few.
We did see otters before we left Mull and this was mainly due to the information David had given us about where to look, reading the weather conditions and patience!
I cannot recommend David highly enough, he has an easy way about him, over 30 years experience of island life and is always open to investigating anything you spot while out with him.
Get it booked!
