A good six pounds well spent, knowledgeable staff, no hide, only outside facilities, but we still had a good afternoons viewing of sea eagles. We did see the eagles, plus baby, exciting. Thank you.

A short walk from the meeting point. People with mobility problems or young children were allowed to drive even closer. The guides were very enthusiastic and knowledgable. The hide is in the trees and provides telescopes, which are needed to see what is happening. We could see the chick quite clearly and 1 adult, who flew off whilst we were there. A great introduction to theses birds, but not as close as I thought we might be. The children got bored after about an hour, but we could then go back to the base. Good value at £6 for an adult and £3 for children, with proceeds going back to the local community. A great introduction, but for closer sightings the boat trip can't be beaten ( but it does cost significantly more)!

This was a new location for us, apparently the birds on the old nest at Loch Frisa, who have been extensively filmed are getting a bit old to breed every year so they moved to this site.
The hide was excellent, providing enough space for a group of people and with the telescopes provided we got an excellent view of the nest. The bonus was that one egg had just hatched, and the guides, who obviously love their job were anxiously waiting to see if the second one would hatch. When we were there the female was on the nest, and we saw the male returning as were making our way back.
A brilliant way to guarantee seeing them, and it helped us to find others as we travelled round this beautiful island.

Good value for money with an RSPB guide and a forestry commision guide as well. We were lucky in that the birds were sitting on eggs and did a change over with the male flying by and then landing just behind the nest. The female just threw herself off the nest and the male took her place shuffling around to keep his claws off the eggs. You are close enough to phtograph if you have a longish lens and photogrpahy is allowed as the guide has a license, otherwise it would be illegal.

Two hours is quite a long visit, but the guides Cheryl and John were excellent - very well-informed and knowledgeable about the sea eagles here on the nest and Mull and its wildlife and culture generally. This is a visit for those interested in the wildlife and sea eagles rather than an "entertain the kids for the morning" visit - definitely good value if you are interested. I went with a group of Countryside Management students and the guides tailored the visit fir us very skilfully.
