“Splendid solitude in hebrides”
Reviewed July 24, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The lodge is centrally located on the isle of Lewis, within 15 minutes of Stornoway, stunning beaches and prehistoric remains.
Its clean, warm, welcoming and very quiet. A perfect location for a chill out interspersed with exploration of the Isle, withits spectacular scenery.
Keep your eyes open for the wildlife....they are there but well camouflaged.
Well equipped kitchen. Spacious open plan living area. Great for lazy breafasts. Centrally heated, with a nice log burner to warm up by after a hard days exploring. Good vista from the rear of the lodge with small lochs a few minutes walk away.
Expect all seasons in one day in the spring....we had rain, hail snow and toasting sunshine all in one day, and hey, we loved it.

“Stunning location”
Reviewed July 24, 2015 for a stay in October 2014

The photo's don't fully capture what a beautiful location this cottage is in. Deer out the back and the odd eagle in the trees by the cottage. The cottage itself is really well equipped, clean and comfortable. There was a lovely log fire. Having been totally refurbished everything works well and is beautifully presented. It is a 20 or so minute drive to Stornaway and there really is very little in between. For those looking for peace and quite with stunning scenery and huge skies I would thoughly recommend this cottage
