“Ups and downs ”
Reviewed July 16, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Ups:
- spacious
- good wifi signal
- easy to find
- good for exploring islands
- warm (very effective heaters)
- nice, well equipped kitchen
- clean
- big fridge/freezer
- plenty of wildlife (rabbits)
- good media service (tv, NowTV etc...)
- memory foam mattresses
- nice garden
- welcome package (eggs, wine, biscuits)
- friendly owners
- my daughter loved her bed!
- separate shower from bath
- comfortable

Downs:
- twin beds very low and difficult to get out of for any who has mobility issues
- decor not good enough (mound painted over in bathroom, chipped plasterboard, peeling wallpaper etc...)
- bath stained and dirty
- flooring in bathroom not flat down
- no welcome pack (that we could see)
- shower no power at all - a trickle (may be due to water source)
- dryer only found at end of holiday (could have fitted inside)

A bit of updating and it would be fantastic!!! Would go again if it had a lick of paint

“fantastic”
Reviewed May 9, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

It was easy to find the house. It's situated in a very quiet place. We had black rabbits and deers to say hello every morning. Absolutely beautiful nature around. The accommodation is very spacious with good layout. Two bedrooms in the 1st floor. Master bedroom (good size double bed), a kitchen, living room and bathroom in the ground floor. There are plenty of kitchen utensils and staff like towels etc. All you need really. The house is warm and internet is very good. It was lovely to see a bottle of wine, flowers and even fresh eggs on arrival. I've never tasted such tender eggs in my life). The position of the house is very good. It's quite central on the island if you want to explore both south and north. There is a petrol station nearby, which was very handy. Iain gave us a lot of ideas where to go and what to do, which was very handy. We would definitely consider this house for the next stay. Thank you

“Great accommodation in handy location”
Reviewed April 10, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

W enjoyed our week on Lewis, traveling with two kids and their grandparents. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and tidy and provides a good base if you want to see the sights of Harris and Lewis. The welcome pack and fresh flowers were a nice personal touch! Absolute peace and quiet.

“Super little bolt hole !”
Reviewed October 8, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Very welcoming, clean and comfy accommodation. Super communication with the opener. Just idyllic for us and we would definitely book it again if we went back to Harris or Lewis. Look out for the wild black bunny in the croft land opposite and the wildlife in general, it was just so quiet and peaceful.

“Quiet cosy cottage”
Reviewed September 2, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The cottage is in a quiet pretty part of Lewis. We had not been to the Hebrides before so we wanted to see all of the places of interest and this location suited us well.Everything you could want is in the cottage.we are here for a week and so far we have not seen the eagle that is supposed to sit out the back of the cottage but we have seen a seal pup up on port ness beach, and a shark washed up on the beach below the bridge to nowhere on the east coast above Stornoway.

We took an early spring week in the cottage and it was excellent. Clean, fresh and well decorated, it is also spacious and well equipped and is situated in the most peaceful setting imaginable. The wi-fi came in handy for keeping in touch in the evenings. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay indeed and we will certainly return. Would highly recommend to anyone.
