“Very nice stay”

We stayed two nights with Irene and Norman. They were very nice and friendly. They helped in every way and gave us tips on where to have dinner. The location is convenient between Stornoway and Harris.

We stayed with Irene and Norman for a whole week as it was so convenient for visiting all the places of interest in Lewis and North Harris. They were very welcoming, everything very clean and well kept, and were happy to provide us with any information we needed. Breakfasts were delicious with a very good choice, and packed lunches were made up for us when we requested. Although it is on the main road between Tarbert and Stornoway, there is very little traffic, so very quiet and with lovely views down the valley. We had the room with a separate bathroom, and it was great to have space to spread out, with a big bath and separate shower, and not at all inconvenient as it was immediately across the corridor. Would highly recommend a stay here, whether you are just passing through, or lingering to enjoy the lovely hiking country as we were.

We stayed two nights with Irene and Norman who were very friendly and welcomed us with tea and cakes. The location is convenient, on the main road from Harris to Stornoway, wityh pretty views of Loch Erisort. The location is also convenient for visiting all of Lewis and is a couple of miles or so from a pub serving good food. Thank you to Irene & Norman for adding real value to our holiday.

Although we had read previous guests’ reviews, we were unsure what to expect in this B&B, let alone any guest house on our tour of N.W. Scotland and the Islands. Having never stayed in one before, the children thought it might feel strange living under the roof of the owners. However Irene & Norman could not have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. They gave up their front lounge; allowing us to relax, take it over and watch the Scotland vs Belgium football match. After a comfortable night’s sleep and a very nice breakfast (the view from their lounge that morning was nothing short of breath taking) we followed their recommendation and spent a few hours on Luskentyre beach. It was fantastic. To return home and realise we had left my daughter’s favourite item of clothing behind wasn’t a problem for Irene. She sent it to us (first class mail) right away. We would definitely return.

Warm welcome and super views of the loch from the guest lounge. Clean, comfortable room (although not for the obese!) and nice breakfast. Really good pub a couple of miles away on the other side of the loch made eating out a pleasure also.Thank you.

A very good b&b run by a friendly and kind family in a village which can be a good base to explore Lewis and Harris. Good breakfast too. We can recommend it to everyone for a quiet and comfortable stay in Lewis.

Irene our host welcomed us with tea or coffee and some cake. Very nice. We felt it like a warm welcome. We even could check in for the airport on her computer. We had a nice room and a good night sleep. We also got some tips to go out for dinner..
