“Excellent Service”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

This was an overnight trip for almost 100 members of the 50/60 Club. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived until we left the following morning. The staff were welcoming and helpful and really couldn't do enough to help us.
The accommodation was comfortable and spotlessly clean and the food was first class.
Great value for money and would definitely return.
Well done!

Booked the trip for 12 people. We have all been up for the weekend breaks before. We always ask for rooms furthest away from the reception/bar area as people pass at early hours of the morning after having a good night out. For the price that you pay for a full weekend dinner Friday night followed by music, breakfast then dinner dance on the Saturday to the resident band, Breakfast on Sunday the cost is fantastic. We would recommend the hotel to all ages, with fishing/ golfing and Walking all near by. Aberfoyle around 20 minutes walking distance along a path away from main road. Not plush but all staff are good/friendly and very helpful. We will all be back. Thanks again for a great weekend.

Room Tip: Either first or second floor furthest away from hotel reception- quieter at the wee hours of the mor...

Stayed here a few times over the years. Staff are friendly. And it's a nice walk into Aberfoyle. Plenty on at the weekends. Although it's aimed at an older crown. Rooms are spotless. Take midge repellant.

As part of a coach holiday package we stayed at this hotel for 5 days. Based on an American motel, this hotel is suited for coach trips but can accommodate other travellers.

The room was well suited with all the essentials. Good cleanliness and tidy everyday.

The bar and dining areas were well stocked and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Entertainment on a night included a bag piper, singers and different kinds of folk music.

The food everyday was superb. Well recommended and consistent with a wide variety of local foods, etc.

I would recommend this hotel to passing travellers who are travelling up the west side of Scotland.

Doesn't look much from the outside, but the friendly staff more than made up for any deficiencies in the building itself. The hotel is used to dealing with large groups but they even though they were clearly busy the service they gave to our small group was excellent. The food was very good and excellent value, and they kindly started breakfast an hour early on the Sunday to suit our schedule.

Room Tip: Rooms in the annexe will be quieter.
