“The wee blether`s a wee gem”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

I really don`t think you could find a more charming little tea room than here on the shores of Loch Ard. It`s only open in the summer season unfortunately. Quirky, with loads of interesting features, the hosts are Richie and Shona, a characterful couple offering a bit of fun along with home made cakes and good coffee. The breakfasts are outstanding too.

“I love this place! Highly reccomend”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

I absolutely love this place it's a little hidden gem! The staff are wonderful it feels like going home, fresh tasty food, so many cakes to choose from and a great atmosphere inside. Staff are always helpful and so kind to my two kids (they can be a nightmare to please) They never leave disappointed, they even let my son fetch some fresh eggs and he has loved the place ever since. Don't leave Aberfoyle without trying it!

“This Tea Room is welcoming with Scottish Charm”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

My Husband and I have been to Aberfoyle for hillwalking many times and we found this cafe by accident after turning the wrong way on the road and we were glad we did as now we love this cafe. It is beside Loch Ard with beautiful views to enjoy and there is also seating outside which allows dogs. The man who runs the cafe and his staff look after the customers with a smile and also provide bowls of water for the customers pet dogs. The charm of the decor at the cafe makes me smile as it is decorated with the scottish sense of humour in mind. From the witty menu to the Broons wallpaper in the toilet. After our first visit, we were made to feel so welcome, we had to return with other members of the family and their pet dog, as our desciption of the cafe did not do it justice. The other members of the family loved it too. The food is lovely and well presented and they have a large selection of home made cakes. They also come round the tables to offer sweets to the customers.

“Hallelujah for Individuality in this Costa Starbucks riddled climate”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Find myself in unique position of wishing to review somewhere I've never been. BUT. We wandered by there yesterday, were very disappointed to find it shut - possibly for the season? Non the less we got such an enthusiastic welcome from the proprietor, and had such fun taking photos at the kissing gate, and of its other unique features... that if even a fraction of the spirit that's gone into creating its personality goes into the food and drink - its got to be something special. See you in the Spring.
