If you are passing by it is a nice stop on the way. A colourful Hindu temple, a great subject for photo taking.

This Temple is just on the main road and well maintained temple . Muthumariamman also called Kali temple by some is worth the visit and you can see it without extra effort.

It doesn't take long to take in this temple. Worth the stop on the road.
The negative was the ticket lady trying to short change. It took three attempts to get all my change. We have learnt in SL that this is all too common. Get used to counting notes carefully. Every time. This makes the temple experience dampened.

This Hindu temple is situated on the A9 higway as soon as you exit Matale town it is a very old temple which gathers a very large crowd for the annual cart festival from very lately this temple also had started to charge a fee from all foreign tourists. The security guards should be taught how to be polite to people visiting the temple
