“beware of the "Magic Cream"”

We visited here in August and travelled with my partner, our teenaged daughters and son. The girls and I were very interested to see the "magic hair removing cream." The salesmen were insistent that, after 6 applications, results are permanent and you have hair free legs for ever! I was very cynical about this as I pointed out, if this cream worked every woman on the planet would buy it and they would be millionaires! However, we managed to negotiate a good price (about the same as Immac) and bought 15 jars - 6 each for the girls and 3 for me. I have religiously used it for 7 applications now and, although it does dissolve hair on underarms, bikini line etc and is very gentle to use, the results are NOT permanent, as I had suspected.

If you want as product that is essentially the same as Immac or Veet, ie, not permanent, then go ahead and buy it, but make sure you get a good deal.

the other products are very expensive and I felt it was a real tourist rip-off.

Interesting, free massage but beware the sales pitch. Shop is very expensive and you can easily pay ££££ without any proof that any of the potions are going to work. They show you big bottles but small ones are available too if you want to try something so dont give into the sales pressure.

This is an excellent way to learn more about the herbs and spices on the Island. This traditional medicine is still widely used. The staff take you round the garden explaining how each plant or tree grows and what uses the herb or spice is put to. We were then invited to hear more about herbal medicine and ask questions. Perhaps because they were quiet a massage for shoulders, head and arms was thrown in. You can then buy the herbs and spices you have identified might be usefu. I came away with Coca tea supposedly good to stop snoring. You will have to ask my wife if it works as I am asleep!
