We stayed for new year and they put on an excellent dinner/semi dangerous fireworks display which was hugely entertaining. It was like something from the 70s, in a really fun environment.
The staff here were really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and comfortable with both fans and strong A/C and spotless bathrooms.
The dining arrangement was unusual as they put all the guests on one large table with a fixed menu each night. However if you have any special dietary requirements or you just don't fancy something you can tell them and they will provide a pleasing alternative.
This may not be the place if you are shy or have trouble talking to new people at the table, but we found all the other guests to be good sports and had great conversations.
We had a tour of the working farm and spice garden on site and even had a tuc-tuc lesson and they provide cycles for the brave!
This is a little way out in terms of location so not for party people, but if you enjoy relaxing then this is the place to go. It is only an hour away from The Damboula Caves and Half an hour further for Sigiriya so it is a good base for the region.
I would highly recommend visiting here and would definitely go back.
