Stayed at the manor park before a long out bound flight, and was so impressed by the service i decided to stay again on my return when i returned to collect my car, A very friendly young man collected me at an un civilised time in the morning when I called from their free phone- great service !The room was new and comfortable, and the breakfast delicious.

Having pre-booked our rooms, we were told upon arrival that our rooms were occupied, and we were taken to a couple of 2nd floor attic rooms which I would describe as "tired". I reckon they were last decorated just after the end of WW2, and my pillow smelt musty.
Our room had no phone, no hair dryer, no bedside lamp, no trouser press and was not connected to the central heating system. There was an old electric fan heater in one corner.
The windows didn't close properly.
I thought the days of tiny, cramped shower cabinets with electric showers were over, but apparently not - God knows what our American counterparts must think. The plumbing was noisy and the taps on the basin were something to behold. In the morning, we asked if our original rooms were available, since they were located in a small. single-storey annex undergoing alteration and we thought things might be better there.
We got a couple of rooms in this annex on night 2, and ours was a bit better, but still no phone, hairdryer or trouser press (there was an iron in the wardrobe). The view from the window was a rubble-strewn yard, but that was better than the room allocated to our daughters - it had NO WINDOW! I have never, ever come across anything that compares. We never managed to get hot water from the basin in our bathroom.
Outside, the main arrival area is unimpressive - you drive into the rear yard behind the building, and the signage from there is inadequate.
There is no way that £750,000 has been spent on this establishment in recent months or even years, and there is a long way to go before it can compare with any other 3 star hotel in the country.
Breakfast was minimal and on morning 2 my fried egg had obviously been kept under a heater for some considerable time. I mean, how long does it take to fry an egg?
Standards at this hotel are nowhere near as high as they need to be, and any hotel inspector worth his/her salt will shoot it down in flames. Come to think of it, a good going fire might be the best thing that could happen ; then they could start all over again.

The best things about this very small hotel were its proximity to Prestwick Airport near Glasgow, and the friendliness of its sparce staff. We paid £79.00 a night for a room with holes in the wall, blazing hot with no fan or air-conditioning, no phone, dusty curtains and a cruddy rug in the bathroom. The outside lights were like spotlights shining in the room, so the curtains had to be kept closed, which made it hot and stuffy. Repairs needed to be made to other parts of the hotel as well.
Maybe in a year or two the hotel will be rehabbed, but at present they are charging £20 more than their neighboring hotels and inns for what we had.
