“Great Hotel”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

We booked two nights here with breakfast for the start and also returning back from our holiday flying from Prestwick . It is a friendly welcoming hotel with a cosy atmosphere and we enjoyed our stay very much. The food was excellent and staff members warm and friendly. We parked our car here also for two weeks at no extra charge which was great. Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable and met all our requirements.
We will definitely return the next time we are in the area. Thanks June & Alan.

We booked this Hotel specifically because it was near the Airport and we had an early flight. Following a two week stay in Scotland, this was the cheapest Hotel we booked, and good value.
However, there was no option to book room only, bed and breakfast was the only option, and has we were leaving at 4.30am we were unable to have breakfast, no snack was offered, not even biscuits, and no refund offered.

We had an excellent meal in the restaurant, we wanted to settle the bill before we went to bed due to our early flight, it took about 10 minutes for the receptionist to sort this out, and he had to call in help to register this on computer. When we left at 4.30am, the night receptionist asked us to pay for our meal again, he did, however, accept we'd paid in cash - hope this doesn't come off our card again!

The room was large, clean, airy, in the main part of the hotel, a little tired looking, and, as other comments said - carpet in the bathroom?? It smelt quite musty in there.

Our main complaint was no wifi - anywhere in the hotel. The hotel states wifi throughout the hotel - NO, not true. No connection in the bedroom, no connection in the Dining Room, no connection in the sitting area, no connection in the Reception area. We were told it was 'slow today' , it was non-existent! We were offered the use of the laptop in Reception, but as we carry IPads and need the information stored there, this was of no use. We have had this problem in several hotels during our stay in Scotland. Hotels, please don't state you have wifi if you havn't! We only book hotels offering this, as it is important to us to have internet access while travelling around - if you havn't got this service, tell us, and we will book somewhere else.

Room Tip: Please note, there was no swimming pool or fitness centre. We had Room 8, which was at the front of...

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times, it is what it is, however we were late arriving and ended up in the Manor Lodge. (first come first served) it was busy. The room was pokey, no real wardrobe, no shaving socket, towel radiator was red hot on the hottest night of the year with no way of switching it off.
We ate in the restaurant, the food was fine, but there were loads of flies buzzing around.
Outside area requires some new tables, all warped unable to put a drink on them.
May review my travel plans next time I fly from Prestwick.

Room Tip: Arrive early, stay in the main building

I only stayed for one night but it was still worth it. The food was excellent. I had Chicken Nuggets for my main course & a delicious chocolate fudge cake with ice-cream for dessert. The room was very clean. I really enjoyed my stay and i would definitely come back again.

I stayed at the Manor Park in July before the Larne Ferry the next day.
The location is convenient for the Ferry and nearby Prestwick airport.
Been some years since I stayed at the Manor Park and there had been some refurbishment. I would say that this has been in the most part worthwhile however a few minor observations were that the shower in my triple could do with an upgrade. There is also a lingering aroma of stale food which meets you as you check in and doesnt seem to leave that area. Night waiter looked a bit glum as we stayed up a bit late.
I just highlight a few issues there but I must emphasise reception and waiting staff friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Food was good but fish portion on light side.
Overall good value with friendly service.

We used this for parking and a nights stay for our recent holiday. Loved the breakfast and evening meal. Room was large and clean. Staff very helpful. Would stay again. Very convenient. This really is a great deal as parking alone was only £15 cheaper nearby than what we paid for a room and parking!

Clean, tidy and a warm welcome, too warm, the heater had been left on in our room on the hottest day of the year. However this was not a problem. 2) Food = Food was very good and the waiters service was excellent.

Room Tip: Room 32 is a good room to choose
