My wife and I stayed here in February having had dinner in the hotel once before. We are returning in July for her birthday because it was so good. Accommodation first class big bed big tv big bathroom. The staff are a pleasure to deal with and nothing is any trouble. We had D B&B and the food is superb. Not the cheapest but as they say "you only get what you pay for"

Ideal location for Ayr town centre and the surrounding attractions

Had the pleasure to stay in this wonderful hotel recently. Very spacious and well decorated rooms. Dinner was excellent for the price (the restaurant was very busy for mid-week). Excellent menu to suit all tastes. Staff could not be friendlier. Looking for an excuse to go back.

This was another one of the hotels we found by accident. After quite a tiring day and not really sure where we were we stumbled upon Carrick Lodge. It was like stepping into another world. It was beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was amazing.... probably the grandest of our trip, with a large flat screen TV, and a huge bathroom. The dining room was like a first class restaurant, and the meal was delicious. We were only there for one night. You would expect to be paying heaps for this but we found the cost quite reasonable. We were on our way to Edinburgh the next day so did not see much of Ayr, so cannot comment about the location.

This small Hotel could show many larger ones the way. Every aspect of my short stay was excellent. Accomodation, food , staff , pricing, were all excellent. Restaurant is highly used by local non residents, the food is so good. Small garden area looked wonderful to sit out in, but weather was bad.

I have just come back from a 4-day stay in Ayr and myself and a friend shared a room in the Carrick Lodge and we cannot praise it enough. The room was spotless and decorated beautifully (as was the rest of the accommodation) and the staff were the nicest, most friendly and helpful people you could hope for. Nothing was too much trouble and they made our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. We had our evening meals in the lodge and the food was fantastic! My friend had her first taste of haggis and loved it, so much so that she ordered the same meal again. It is situated in an ideal location and we were only a small drive/walk away from Rozelle where the Ayr Flower Show was held and which we visited, I never knew begonias could be so big! A lovely trip and a definite favourite, we will be staying there again.
