“Excellent all day brekkie”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2013 via mobile

Kids decided we were to go for brunch on Sunday. Had been to the Savoy ages ago so popped in. They were short staffed but it didn't matter food and service both excellent. The boys loved being able to play with connect 4 and dominoes while they waited it made things less stressful when the kids are entertained. So much to eat and great value £26 for four huge breakfasts and drinks. Thanks again to the Savoy staff.

“Doorstep Sannies, Yummie”

The Savoy is a cafe in the Sandgate and there you can enjoy chitterin' bites and soup.
these are sandwiches made with fresh bread cut very thick with a generous filling and a very reasonable price.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

My husband and I have been in here a few times for lunch. The food is always amazing. We both had fish and chips today, you can tell they make everything fresh. The pizzas are also beautiful thin and crispy. Definitely worth a visit for sit in or takeaway.

“A great find.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013

My husband, daughter and myself were passing through Ayr last weekend & were heading to a café recommended by a friend for a light lunch, it was closed ,we were heading back to the car not knowing where else to look when we passed the Savoy. It just looked like a normal little café, but what was on the menu certainly wasn't the norm. We just wanted a light lunch, I had soup and a smoked salmon, cream cheese & chive sandwich on the freshest bread ever, it was superb, that may seem a bit over the top for soup and sandwiches but is fact.
They served just about anything you would be looking for at lunchtime or a main meal and again unusual for a small café an extensive range of speciality coffees. Forgot to add they do breakfasts as well.
Just as a guide to the price my sandwich cost all of £2.95! Can't wait to return.

“Incredible hospitality & great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

When staying in Ayr recently, we frequented The Savoy 5 times in two weeks and were sorry to say good-bye to Jerry, the ever-cheerful owner. The menu items were yummy and decently priced for very generous servings. We made the Savoy our home-base because the ambiance was great and WiFi was also available. Don't miss it when you get to Ayrshire.
