This place has wonderful food. Bottom line. It may not be fancy but it tastes great, from the baked potatoes right down to the homemade strawberry tarts. A great litlle find. And so clean! Kudos to them for running an establishment to be proud of.

Beautiful coffee shop located just across from Burns Cottage. We have visited this coffee shop every year for the last ten years while on holiday during the October week. This year we found that it was under new management and the food was even better than before. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we particularly enjoyed the new Scottish themes.
There were 8 in our party and we ordered a variety of food but we didn't have to wait too long.
The new owner chatted to us and was extremely nice. We even returned on our last day for breakfast.

Lovely place to go for a morning coffee or an early lunch. The staff/owners are friendly and welcoming and very helpful. The menu is varied and the food is very well presented and very tasty. It is also reasonably priced. I would recommend this place to others unreservedly.

If you are visiting Burns country, the temptation may be to go to the National Trust restaurant, but the best decision would be to visit this café opposite Burns Cottage. Lovely big fresh cakes. And freshly cooked hot food - we had a perfect omelette and scrambled eggs with salmon. Good coffee. And the service is personal and very friendly. Don't miss.

We popped in for tea and cake during our Burns experience and received a very warm welcome.

The scones were lovely though could have done with more butter. But a nice little cafe in a delightful location.
