Chose to stay here for a weekend while attending a friend's wedding in the area and were really pleased we did. Conveniently located next to the train station. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Incredibly spacious and comfortable bedrooms well equipped and very clean. And after a perfect night sleep a wonderful breakfast, perfect. Will look to stay here again when next in the area.

We are four Canadians who stayed at Coila at the end of August. Hazel and Charlie were great hosts and very personable. The breakfasts were delicious and they offered a good variety. We easily walked to restaurants from this location, recommended by our hosts. There is parking on the BB property. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We couldn't ask for more. Thanks for the great stay.

We stayed at the Coila Guest House (first time) and we most certainly will return when visiting that part of Scotland. Our hosts (Charlie and Hazel) could not have been more friendly or helpful, the room was spacious and very comfortable and the food (Scottish Breakfast) was to die for. I would recommend staying at this guest house to family and friends, it is within walking distance to Ayr Railway Station and Town Centre, perfect for our purpose and a most enjoyable weekend break (apart from the weather).

Room Tip: Book early to avoid disappointment.

We arrived at Coila at 9.40am on tuesday 13th august expecting to leave the car there and go into Ayr shopping and return there after lunchtime to occupy our room. Hazel, however, informed us our room was ready enabling us to unpack right away, not only that she provided us with tea and shortbread!! This was the start of a 1st class 2 day stay in a beautifully appointed bedroom containing all mod-cons, everything you could wish for was there!! The breakfast was really excellent, an extensive menu to choose from, and the food of your choice cooked to perfection. You would go a long way to find a better and more welcoming Guest house than this and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. We will return again as soon as we can!!

Room Tip: All rooms would be equally as good!!

We messed up our bookings coming to Ayr at a very busy time. Charlie, the owner managed to squeeze us in for one night and also found us a room at a nearby B and B for the next night. The rooms are big and comfortable with everything you could ever want including a bowl of mini chocolate bars, a full tea and coffee making kit in the room and an excellent library of books to borrow. There's good WIFI and a nice garden to sit in.

Charlie went out of his way to help us including letting us have the missing golfclubs delivered to his B and B after we had left and ringing to let us know they had arrived.

In the morning, we were given a full cooked breakfast and beautiful fruit and coffee even though we wanted it very early before heading off to golf. Thanks for a great stay! We will be back....

Room Tip: we were in the rooms at the back and they were beautifully quiet.

Charlie and Hazel you were both most helpful to us during our stay. Especially we appreciated the help you gave us in finding a place to stay when we arrived a full 24 hours prior to you expecting us. Your advice to see Vikingar was most appreciated as we had no idea that the Vikings had ever been in the area prior to our visit with you. Richard loved the breakfasts that you prepared and served Hazel.

Definitely a good place to stay with helpful friendly hosts willing to pass on their knowledge to "tourists".

Charlie and Hazel are wonderful hosts kind, helpful and so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Coila Guest House is ideally situated within walking distance of the station and the centre of Ayr. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds very comfortable.Breakfast is delicious and the choice amazing. I definitely have no hesitation in recommending Coila as an ideal base to explore Ayr.
