Having just completed a 23 day round UK trip staying at a total of 13 B&B's I would rate
Coila Guest House the best. It was in Hazel and Charlie's attention to detail that they stood out. Little things like bottled water in the rooms, chocolates, full supply of soap etc. The bedroom and ensuite were a good size. King size bed, large screen TV and the breakfasts were excellent. Hazel was also ready with a town map and good advise on where to eat. Location too was great, strolling distance to town centre.

Stayed in Coila for 5 nights, during September, the weather was exceptionally good, and we were able to walk about every day in the sunshine. Very central location, but very quiet, no noise from the busy road outside. Cosy bedroom with en suite and everything you could want, including a lovely teddy to keep an eye on us!! Substantial breakfast which kept hunger at bay for the best part of the day. Great hosts in Charlie and Hazel. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone. A very pleasant, relaxing stay.

Room Tip: We had a room at the front, but were given a choice of a back room if we wanted. Was quiet and warm...

Hazel and Charlie took great care of us in this lovely guest house in the heart of Ayr. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. A great location from which to enjoy all of the Burns sites, the Brig O' Doon, etc. We'll be back!

Coila Guest House is a block from the train station--very convenient. Charlie helped us with a car hire and was very good with directions. Hazel gave us excellent dinig recommendations. Breakfast was wonderful in the very pleasant dining room. The bedroom en suite was very comfortable and quiet. We stayed only two nights before journeying on, but it was an excellent way to start our trip and acclimate ourselves to lovely Scotland. We would recommend Coila Guest House without heasitiation.

stayed for one night at this fabulous bed and breakfast but could have stayed so much longer !!!!! the only possible downside to me was the teddies all about the house but again you must remember that this is their house. hazel and charlie were exeptional hosts. great breakfast was full until late!!! great central position we will be back.

Room Tip: try and get a room at the back of house

As a female travelling on my own, I felt safe and relaxed at Coila Guest House. Hazel and Charlie are extremely helpful and make guests feel very welcome in their home. The guest house is ideally located, close to the train station and town centre. I had a lovely large, light, airy room with every facility necessary for my stay, including the all-important comfortable, clean, cosy bed! Plenty hanging and drawer space. Breakfast was delicious, a real treat. I really appreciated being so well looked after while away from home.
