My friend had a wedding here and the whole thing was outstanding. I have to say the staff were first class. The food was excellent.......breakfast was brilliant also. I honestly haven't met friendlier and more helpful staff. If you fancy a real scottish welcome give this place a try.

This hotel was booked for me whilst I was working in the area. I was concerned about what I'd find as the price paid was not huge. I have to say I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff were all very pleasant, welcoming and friendly. The evening meal was absolutely first class and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was plentiful, the choice wide and was extremely tasty, the atmosphere very relaxed and the staff attentive.

I had a superior room, this was well decorated and fitted out with a delightful en suite bathroom, the bed was comfy and complementary tea and coffee were provided.

There is a well kept garden to the rear of the hotel with a children's play area.

There is little I would criticize about this hotel and I hope to visit again.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior room.

Cleanliness could have been a bit better, my family runs a holiday house though so I have very high expectations when it comes to presentable standards. Breakfast was ok, I've had better, somehow it all was a bit tasteless and like it had been sitting around for a while in lard. Dinner was great but again the croutons in my salad tasted a little old and soggy. I would still stay there again, it's a beautiful building and most of the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Stayed just the one night when attending a wedding nearby
Room 5 was lovely, clean and huge. We just had a snack in the bar but it was very tasty. Dinner menu looked tempting. Breakfast was also very good.
The staff were very helpful and cheerful.
Definitely will return.

Room Tip: Room 5 has a lovely view of the garden and was very quiet. Huge room and large bathroom. Not a lot o...

Just stayed for one night. Friends were having a party here for their wedding anniversary. Our room was smallish but lovely and clean nice view of the lovely gardens and well equipped. The meal was superb and all the service was first class. We had a coffee when we arrived for check in and it was a really good cup of coffee. The staff are all young but they are so polite and professional it was a pleasure to be there, nothing was too much trouble. Full marks to the staff, if only all hotels had staff like them! Breakfast in the morning was excellent too. I can't praise this hotel and the staff enough ten out of ten for me.

The food was excellent and I would most definitely stop in with the family for lunch or dinner . This is a very family friendly hotel if you have children .
