“So comfortable!”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

Today we have returned from a 2 night stay at what is now called "Beaches" guest house.
We had a lovely warm welcome from Kirsty, who showed us our room and then made us a lovely cup of tea and also provided us with home made short bread! we sat in the beautiful walled garden and relaxed. Bliss!
Our bed was probably the most comfrotable bed I have slept on, the pillows and duvet were so fluffy, the whole guest house was immaculately clean and the breakfast was fabulous!, both mornings I ate a hearty breakfast and didn't need to eat until the evening, and I can tell you, THAT is very rare for a woman who needs to eat every 2-3 hours!

Thank you Jan, Callum and Kirsty for the lovely place you keep.
I hope to see you again, maybe next summer?

After a 4 hour drive we arrived at the B&B. What a nice place! The room was spacious and comfy and tastefully furnished. The breakfast 10/10. Jan made us feel if we were one of the family. Keep up the good work! We will be back.
Fantastic, Fantastic, Fantastic!

Room Tip: Any room you choose WILL be great!

Now Trading under the name Beaches what a QUALITY find.
Just recently refurbished to a very high standard our room was more than up to a 5 star Hotel rating. We had a large family room with access out to the well maintained mature garden and Goldie the retriever was the icing on the cake for our daughter. Jan's warm friendly welcome set the pace for a very enjoyable weekend. Breakfast was a feast of fresh local produce and the homemade shortbread in our rooms was delish.
This is real value for money only meters from the beach and easy walking distance to shops and the many pubs and restaurants. Book It and give Goldie a big hug and a wee biscuit from us.

Jan made us so welcome. The 2 rooms were very good especially the super-king bed. Excellent breakfasts and ideally placed for the town and beach. Goldie the retriever is a lovely addition. My elderly parents had the family room. Excellent decor . We had the twin with kitchenette excellent for us and the dog. We felt right at home.

Had no booking and chanced on this by choosing the prettiest house in the street.lovely proprietor made us feel very welcome and we left feeling we had been looked after very well.
Breakfast was excellent with local produce, homemade jam and excellent choices.
The whole place was extremely clean and the only criticism was that the bathroom was tiny, inherited from the previous proprietor.Jan said this would be altered soon and we look forward to revisiting should we be in Ayr again. it has the convenience of a great Italian restaurant within walking distance and the beach nearby.Highly recommended.ContCt by phone only till Feb 2012
