The new(ish) owner has transformed the place into a quirky but still welcoming and comfy place to get a great cup of coffee and an even better slice of cake. Coffee and amaretto cake is divine and the portion isn't stindgy!

I have been to Dullallys twice, although the food is a little expensive the atmosphere created through the choice of decor and the choice of homemade baking makes for a lovely place to spend a morning or afternoon. Will definitely be back!!

We were looking for somewhere in Ayr to meet up with friends for coffee and heard about a new place in Beresford Terrace that had opened in the premises previously occupied by Teddy Bears Honeypot. The decor was quirky, the staff very friendly but not pushy, and the scones to die for. We were there around 10 in the morning and the scones were fresh out of the oven and the butter just melted on them, delicious. The cups and saucers were china but nothing matched, the 'doo lally' part, and the teapot had a knitted tea cosy lovely touches.

As a local I went expecting a treat but found a disaster !No menu on the table so I was not sure what they served. Plenty of staff but could not catch their eye on three separate occasions.(Owner and 3 staff there in this tiny cafe. They were chatting to each other as they cleared tables.) The soup was very cold and I had to send it back. The bowl was tiny as was the roll, which was very poor value at the price. Cups so small, and you could not get your finger in the handle. Chairs hard. I asked three times for milk for my coffee before I got it.
I ate in the previous cafe there for 20 years. Never again.
