Friendliest hotel staff you could wish to meet. This is a modern hotel (even has a lift) with internal restaurant rather than adjoining pub like most Premier Inns. Food was excellent and great value. Only possible drawback for holidaymakers is the location in industrial area next to a big car dealership. Sea visible from upper rear rooms and only 5 minutes drive to Ayr and Prestwick beaches.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms at rear probably quietest and you can see the sea from windows.

We stayed at this hotel in Sept 12'. Booking had been made in May with Holiday Inn Express but changed to Premier Inn late May. Hotel has been completely refurbished to Premier Inn image and branding. Staff were excellent and very attentive. I choose porridge in morning and this was freshly made. Eggs are prepared freshly with rest of hot options served in buffet style.
Room was very clean and we had a view over Firth of Clyde (when we could see it!), weather was poor.
I would have no hesitation in staying here again. Ideally located for playing Ayrshire fine parkland and links courses.

Room Tip: recently refurbished hotel located on outskirts of Ayr

A last minute booking in order that we could enjoy a day at the races.
Had stayed here before , before it had become a Premier Inn.
Found the corporate changes that had been made had improved an already pleasant hotel.
All the staff seem to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was better than expected.
Decided to eat back at the hotel in the evening and had a lovey meal at a good price.
You cannot go wrong by staying here

Room Tip: All Good , maybe ensure you are not on the ground floor as rooms are close to the car park / recepti...

At the races. Had a car which is necessary. Small room but very clean with comfy bed. Only one chair. Nice distant view from rm 318. Not noisy (except low level from lift). Good spacious carpark. Staff very friendly and efficient. Quick restaurant service. Food (dinner) OK for short time. BUT no newspapers available and no Racing Post at a racecourse hotel.

Having read reviews on this hotel can I please make all potential visitors aware of a few details regarding the location of this hotel.

There are a number of local buses to Ayr and racecourse. Out of town buses are twice an hour and local buses run every fifteen minutes. It takes an average 10 minutes to get to Ayr. The bus stops are not more than 200 metres away.

The hotel is not way out. You can walk it to the racecourse in twenty minutes and the town in forty minutes.

There is in close region a Frankly & Bennys and subway restaurant. A KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Asda (24hrs) and Tesco (24hrs) close by.

So please don't let others give you the impression that this hotel is in a desert.
