This hotel was our accommodation for the duration of the Commonwealth Games. The room was neat, tidy and surprisingly spacious. The bathroom was ok but the shower needs replacing and more water pressure.
The restaurant was good. Breakfast started off as being served but later went to buffet style, yet it was plentiful. The evening meals when we were not on duty were good. The bar was ok. The rear of the hotel although neat could be made into a very nice area if funds were available as it is next to the river.
Staff from all areas of the hotel were very helpful.
Good location for Central Paisley and also the train station as Glasgow is only 15 mins on train.
The bad points are that the locals have a 'beach area' next to the river at the side of the hotel, this meant excessive drinking, smoking and 'romantic embraces' could be seen and heard from the room. Parking in front of the hotel is very limited and if you don't have a hotel parking space then you are in a council pay and display. The hotel has tours that use it for a night stop over- the orientals who stopped when we were there had no manners, pinched staff arms and legs to get there attention when staff were dealing with other issues, thought nothing of shouting and banging on doors at 0500hrs.More
