“Beautiful Scottish Abbey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

Steeped in history, the Paisley Abbey is over 850 years old. It is well worth a visit. The acoustics are excellent and it is a place where you will find out many interesting facts and how the influences of the monks who educated william wallace, how marjory bruce arrived at the abbey and the influence the Abbey has had on the local community of Paisley. Paisley is very proud of the Abbey and its heritage.

“Friendly and Helpful Guides”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

The 800 year old Paisley Abbey where William Wallace received part of his education is well worth his visit. A marvellously restored abbey, complemented by models and picture displays illustrating its history and friendly guides who would narrate interesting information then leave you free to walk round at your own pace.

“A beautiful Scottish Abbey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013

If you visit Paisley the Abbey is certainly worth a visit. It's one of the most beautiful buildings in Scotland. Steeped in history too, William Wallace was educated here by the Abbey Monks. The acoustics are wonderful, when there isn't a service on its a place of contemplation, sit for a while and savour the peace and quiet. The abbey is right in the middle of town so no need to walk for miles to get to it!

“Cracking venue to sing in!”

Visited the Abbey when the Royal National Mod was on. The Abbey was one of the competition venues and the acoustics there were fabulous for choral competitions. It's a stunning building steeped in history

“An acoustic dream”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

This is without doubt one of the most beautiful buildings of its kind in Scotland. As a participant in the Royal National Mod 2013 I thought the acoustics quite magical --- enhancing the good voices and flattering the others.
