Arrived back at 0110 in the morning at Glasgow airport and was in a queue for an hour getting through passport control so was pretty tired when we eventually got to the Hotel however the girl who dealt with us was pretty much on the ball and speedily booked us in and we were up on the 9 th floor and into bed asap .
The room is a bit dated but the bed and the toilets were very clean .
Only flaw is that the easy chair which was a good age had a cigarette burn on the arm rest .
We slept well and got up about 0940 to head home - swift check out too and overall excellent value for
£51 .
Would use this hotel again as the closeness to the airport makes it very suitable for the late night /early morning departure from the airport

Room Tip: first time there and on the 9th floor - sound proofing not great but not bad but as you are right beside an airport beside the planes coming and going there was noise

I booked this as arrived in Glasgow too late for a hire car with the family. From the outside the building looks pretty "60s" so expectations were low. I was very wrong - the staff could not have been nicer and the rooms looked recently refurbished. We had a "doors adjoining" room which meant we could use it for the children. Even the buffet breakfast was nice. The kids thought it was great and price was reasonable. Can recommend

stayed here in september with my wife, the hotel was very busy but check in went smoothly, our room was nice and warm when we entered it,there were little things that needed attention a pannel was missing off the bedside cabinet and the showerhead needed replacing but apart from that we enjoyed our stay.the staff that we met were very nice from reception the bar the restaurant and the very nice gentleman who i think cleaned the rooms,i also have to say the food here was very good, for evening meal and breakfast,we will stay here again.

Room Tip: higher floors will be quieter

Having a late landing at Glasgow we chose, as we usually do, to stay at an airport hotel rather that take a two hour drive home at night.
This has always worked well until last week when we arrived at The Holiday Inn at Glasgow Airport.
Entering from the terminal side we had to pass through a dark, dismal, dirty smokers' area and through a bar full of noisy and foul mouthed drinkers which was quite intimidating to my wife.
There was a very noisy party going on in a room next to reception with all doors open and discothump music blaring.
Having found our way to Reception we were met by a friendly and efficient young lady who attended to our check-in and directed us to our room.
On entering the room after some trouble with the keycard we found that it was unheated but with a small fan heater which we plugged in and took the chill off the room.
The bathroom was grubby and with what appeared to be rust stains on the floor. The shower hose looked corroded and negelected to such an extent that I decided to wait until I got home to take a shower. The WHB taps were loose and the whole room had an air of neglect.
It was a most unpleasant way to end our holiday.
The staff we met were pleasant and efficient.
The problems we had which spoiled our stay were all quite minor but taken together seemed to show a careless management who did not seem to care about the state of the hotel.
There are other, far better run airport hotels at Glasgow Airport.

Room Tip: Choose a room in another hotel.

Pleasant book in with the front desk,

The room was a bit dated with pelmet and curtains, the bathroom was more than adequate, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was a flat screen but with all Holiday Inn's there is no SKY tv so the choice is limited if you are struggling to sleep (due to the excitement of going on holiday lol)

Did not sample the restaurant as with most HI's they are a bit pricey for what you get, we instead went over to The airport to Weatherspoons to have a drink and a bite to eat.

We had two minor issues, one where we we had no toilet paper in the room, a quick call to reception and a porter brought some in less than 10 minutes, very pleased, the other was when I moved a chair to close the curtains there was a chocolate bar wrapper (mint club) on the floor, not serious but a little clumsy.

All in all a good choice if you are staying overnight before a flight, would stay again, although you are right next to the airport there was no noise from aircraft!

The location and the staff probably gives it an extra star.
