“Bit of a let down”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We decided to try this restaurant as we thought that we should be supporting our local businesses more by eating closer to home rather than travelling into town. We ate here on a Tuesday evening and were one of only two tables being served which I would expect should lead to good service and good food as they certainly were not being rushed. We opted for a sharing starter which was ok but certainly not spectacular although the portion in its defence was certainly generous in size. Our two mains were both noodle dishes and were not good at all. they tasted as though they had been cooked too soon and then kept warm. The noodles were gloopy and horribly overcooked which made the meal taste more like a poor take away rather than restaurant quality food. We may have been unlucky but there are too many other restaurants to try to give them a second chance. My advice would be to steer clear and choose to eat elsewhere, We were so looking forward to the meal being of good quality so we could eat there again but it just does not hit the spot. The only reason I would not mark the restaurant as terrible is that the waitress was good and the wine was fine.

“Better second time around”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

My husband wanted to go again for their hot soup and as it was his birthday I had to give in. I was pleasantly surprised this time around as the restaurant was brighter and busy. Again got the pre theatre deal and their portion size has definetly increased. The staff seemed happier and more helpful this time around and would actually consider going back. The food was hot and plentiful and the drinks reasonable. Only negative comment was they do not have draught beer only bottled. Overall husband was happy with his birthday meal.

“Fantastic Thai Food”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

This was our fifth visit to this restaurant and once again the food was delicious. We visited on a Friday evening and managed to get a table without having to book. For starters we had a Thai chicken salad and Tom Kha soup, both well presented and full of flavour. For mains we had a chicken red curry with pineapple and cream the other main was a chicken Pad Ka-Prow with egg fried rice, absolutely delicious. We opted to shared a banana split for dessert as the main courses were very generous. All together a very satisfying meal, full of fresh well prepared ingredients. Would recommend a visit and well done to all the staff at Thai Siam. Will visit again when back in Glasgow.

“Excellent Food”
Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

I've been to this restaurant several times and the food is excellent. Pre-theatre menu is huge and very reasonably priced. Would recommend anyone who likes Thai food to visit this restaurant as it is one of the best.
