“Heaven on earth!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2013

Rannoch Moor is mile after mile of unrivalled beauty. Lush green velvet and wide open spaces, this is the gem of The Highlands. Mist, follows sun, grey skies and blue, a mix of all weathers greeted us as we travelled through towards the Pass of Glencoe on route to Fort William and onto Spean Bridge. We didn't realise what magnificent scenery awaited us on our first trip to Scotland. It's no wonder it's referred to as "Bonnie Scotland!!" Can't wait for a return visit. Don't miss this, it's a must.

“Rannoch Kilvrecht trail”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

Fabulous easy to follow way marked trail for muppets like me to follow easily with a Tay forest park map for a guide. There are three walks to choose from we chose this one as it was only an hour as it was a very hot day and this was under the canopy of trees mainly. Lovely easy going walk along water and in the forest. Delightful, how wonderful to have this great forest and moorland to explore. There were even immaculate toilets here too. We loved it the dog loved it everyone's happy.

“Nature at its best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

We visited in the Spring of 2013 and found the area breathtakingly beautiful.

It's a long drive out from Pitlochry, so take a picnic and stop to enjoy the scenery as you go.

There are several pubs and shops in villages along the way. The Country Store at Kinloch Rannoch is very good.

“Unspoilt Wilderness”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

Rannoch Moor is one of the few unspoilt wildernesses left in the UK. Although difficult to access the inner moor without some serious walking, you can actually catch the train to Rannoch Station which has to have the title of Britain’s most remote station.

For a really spectacular drive you can either head down from Glen Coe way or from Pitlochry driving along the entire lengths of Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch. Just make sure you have plenty of fuel in the car and don’t even think about it when there is snow and ice around.
