The Old Armoury Annex was our base whilst in Pitlochry for the horse trials, and it was perfect. Gill was wonderfully welcoming and provided bread and tea/coffee essentials which was unexpected, but very much appreciated.
The Armoury is a very short walk from Pitlochry centre and Pitlochry Dam, so is ideally placed for exploring around the town.
The house itself is compact while remaining airy. It was clean, comfortable and a lovely cosy home from home in a beautiful, quiet setting.
We hope to be back soon!
Just returned from a few day in Pitlochry. The Old Armoury is situated in an ideal location within easy walking distance of the town and other attractions. The accommodation is excellent and the property everything you could need.
Gill the owner was very friendly and helpful with local recommendations etc.
We hope to visit again soon.
The Old Armoury Annexe is perfectly located in lovely Pitlochry, quiet and private and just a 5 minute walk to the town. The apartment is comfortable with everything you need for a self catering holiday; the bed is really big and comfortable and the towels are large and fluffy. The rooms are clean and there is great attention to the details which make a stay feel special. Gillian is a wonderful host and I dont think anything would be too much trouble for her. She will even wash your clothes for a small fee.
Pitlochry is in a great area, we were able to explore the Highlands, from Glencoe to The Cairngorms, Rannoch Moor to Culloden over our week spent there. I highly recommend the Annexe and Pitlochry for a great holiday.
Would highly recommend staying in the annexe to the old armoury. The old armoury is in a beautiful part of the village near the dam and fish ladder. The annexe is very comfortable and has everything you would need.
Gill is a very thoughtful host and there is plenty to do around pitlochry.
A delightful stay within walking distance of all that Pitlochry has to offer. Gill is a friendly host and has given much thought to making this stay special. Lots of extras including a library and big DVD collection for rainy days, outdoor furniture for sunny days, up-to-date information for things to do and all set within a lovely home and garden. There is even a resident red squirrel.
Feel like you are in the country but only a short walk to the centre of Pitlochry.
Great river walks nearby and enjoyed having breakfast watching the bird life, red squirrels and grouse outside the window.
Gill was very helpful and keeps the annexe clean and well stocked with books, dvds, and games. I would highly recommend a stay at anytime.
